He is funny, and he made seemingly complicated econ topics a lot more simpler and easier to understand. It is important to read the book, as he does skip over the finer details during his lectures. Can be a little disorganized with the homework due dates, causing 2 homeworks to be due at once, but is an overall fun class to take.

He doesn't teach at all. He relies heavily on power points which he literally spends a few secs on each slide; which makes taking in class notes useless. Relies heavily on homework programming to teach students. Practically this is a self-thought class with a professor that just throws his 2 cents in when he can. Literally have to teach yourself

What is learned in class and what is gone over for review is nothing like what would be on the test. About 80% of the test is almost brand new things youve never heard about in class. His lectures are sometimes all over the place. And he has a no phone policy in his class

Funny guy, really nice, but not the best teacher. Goes through the power points WAY too quickly and doesn't thoroughly explain the info. The concepts he does explain are totally different from how they are presented in the book, so it can get confusing on what is right and wrong. Tests are based on the book, so be prepared to read & teach yourself.

Jose Esteban is a good teacher and he works with a software where you do all your homework. The advantage of the homework is that it is really easy to do and you always get full points the disadvantage is that you have to remember to do it. It is due twice a week. He is a nice dude and pretty accessible.

Jose "Skittles" Esteban is a man of great tenacity and unrivaled intellect. Many years of hardship have sculpted him into the promising teacher he is today. His class requires online work which is a big part of your grade. Attendance is not mandatory but there is graded classwork so I advice not missing class.

This class was a breeze as long as you keep up with the work; the homework given by Prof Esteban was pretty simple and the majority of it included Learnsmarts. Overall Prof Esteban was a great teacher and seemed to really care about teaching students information that they will need in life in addition to the material.

Jose is a great teacher. I found him to be pretty funny, and there wasn't a single lecture that was dull. There was a bit more homework than normal, and the due dates don't always match up predictably. Make sure you stay on top of it. The exams are bit more difficult than the homework, make sure you study specific and less general questions.

Great teacher that really cares about what he's doing. The class itself is not very hard and he makes grading very clear. Obviously you must put effort to pass but it should be easy to get an A if you do the work and get all the easy points. I would definitely take him again and highly encourage everyone to take his class.

This guy means well, I am currently in his class. The tests are fair, but the homework is hard... The due dates are hard to navigate so I constantly miss them. The software he uses is awful. He claims to be a modern teacher and use the internet, but he doesent use blackboard so grading is confusing. HW due dates should be the at each test dude!!!

he is good but you need to be there at each class to understand all the concepts. do the homework for the credit that he gives randomly. and read the book or else you wont pass. his explanations get confusing sometimes

The professor is really nice but not always clear. The group projects via the online class were a total cluster--- well you get the idea. Tests were evil, I had a 4.0 going into the class. I'm now trying to get back to that after the damage it did. I do the homework, i do the reading, it was not poor time management or lack of studying on my part.

Cool guy, keep up with the homework and you should do well on the tests. He even lets you use a 3x5 notecard! Really funny and you can tell he wants all of his students to pass if you put in the work. Fair grader, with some extra credit given towards the end of the semester. Definitely would take again! My favorite teacher at Palomar for sure.

Tries too hard to be a comedian and not enough to be a teacher. His lectures have almost NOTHING to do with the homework, especially his god awful graphs that he never truly explains just "this is straightforward" and moves on. Very loud, obnoxious, disorganized and inconsistent to the point where you have no idea what to expect on the test.

First off, you will never have a more ANNOYING teacher in your life. He is occasionally funny but mostly his quirks are just weird and obnoxious. Also, he does not communicate well and is vague with grades. Homework is online and easy, but tests are very hard. His lectures are okay but overall he is "meh" and I would not recommend him at all.

He is rude to his students, comes off as extremely arrogant, and he degrades anyone who doesn't do a worksheet or homework. His stories don't make any sense for the topic we are talking about. He doesn't seem to care about his students and acts like we are ruining his day if we simply ask a question. I usually love school but his class ruins it.

Jose is a not good professor even though Palomar is the famous and good college. He doesnot respect his students like he changed the wrong data on Connect and This progam rob your right points. However, he still ignored his unfair behaviour. I felt so INSULTED by his CONTEMPTUOUSNESS and his REACTION. I don't think Jose is worthy as "Good Profesor"
