I took this professor for Digital Media production. I find him a little hard to follow b/c he was constantly trying to be politically correct in his teaching and choise of words. Besides that he seems very knowledgeable, and is willing to answer any questions you have (ASK THEM!!!). Don't slack on your studying b/c the test are fairly difficult.

Comment:

Maunez is a no-nonsense professor with alot of years under his belt. He knows alot about the production aspect of television. He appreciates a good work ethic, and if you show some effort then you will earn his respect. If you act like a de de de (aka EJ students) then he'll give you the crap you deserve because you know noting about production.

I was very surprised that he was an excellent professor. He's a no nonsense kind of guy but once he likes you(meaning he sees your effort) the class will be a piece of cake. Lots of tiring work though.

Well, he definitely can be a jerk the first few weeks of school...just to prove a point that he won't take ne ones crap. But, i didn't get intimidated by him, and i joked around with him a lot...and he really likes me...hes a good guy...decent teacher...class isn't too exciting but i goofed around the whole time...and we all got A's

Great teacher and great person. Very interested in your learning even though he may not always seem like it. If you do your job and try hard he'd very appreciative and respectful. If you don't want to put forth effort, he doesn't have time for you.

takes his job way too seriously, and it winds up giving you the short end of the stick. if you aren't a production-specific major, you can pretty much forget any expectations of getting respect. Don't forget, advisors are interchangable. Unfortunately professors are usually not.

eh..he's okay. doesn't seem to care too much about the students, but maybe you have to grow on him. personally I'd rather feel like i chose a good major and you can't depend on him for that. pretty straight forward in class though, no tricks or anything. I'd seek another counselor/teacher though

Tough but fair. There's a time for joking around and there's a time for work. He is going to help you learn what you are doing, not tell you what to do. So if you don't like thinking for yourself, I would try another class...which is too bad because I think he is the only teacher for this class.
