Professor Nieves was a difficult professor. To get a decent grade on ANY of the tests you basically have to memorize the textbook word for word. I love reading but the amount of reading is ridiculous as well as all the tiny details you should memorize but he doesn't tell you about. Also he does not have a complete course schedule so good luck.

He says that hes here to help or just an email away but when you ask for help hes extremely rude and gets smart as if youre bothering him. Hes not welcoming and very weird in his weekly videos... class wasnt super hard though but the midterm and final was.

Professor Nieves is a solid professor. He has days where he is obviously in an unpleasant mood, which isn't very professional, but otherwise he is chipper and lovely. He will individually help students in the class if they need it and he will walk us through many exercises. This wasn't the easiest class, but you learn some important material.

He is a good professor, and he is not a tough grader at all if you follow the syllabus and his instruction step by step. Overall, this hybrid class was pretty interesting. Quizzes and midterm exam (open book/note) will not be tough if youre study for it. However, final exam (close book) is tough and heavy, and you have to study the entire course.

Alice 3 is a beginner tool and should not be used for college level software design! He still manages to waste your time by making hard projects and assignments. He wont help you with anything either, he will, on the other hand, make sure to belittle and disrespect you. Not helpful at all. Very poorly skilled instructor. Barely speaks english.

He is very fair. Follow his syllabus to the letter. No exceptions. Will help via email, office visit, or phone... But you have to ask for help! Otherwise, he'll leave you alone.

Dr. Nieves is the worst professor I have had the unfortunate experience of paying. The lack of help and communication to his students is appalling. I learned more from google than the joke that is his instruction. This man should not be allowed to teach. Be ready to be confused.

Took online. Very confusing set-up on blackboard and very picky grader. He expects you to perfect everything even though you are in that class to learn. He made a simple class into a complicated mess and the grading website he uses is very annoying. Gives little instruction and uses power points from 1990 to "teach".

Terrible class. Inconsiderate and confusing. He makes you take the tests on campus and gives extremely awkwardinconvenient time periods to take it (like it opens on a Friday and closes on a Wednesday). His work is relatively easy, but he words questions in confusing ways. He uses picture in his quizzes that are too small to see.

I suggest if you want to keep your GPA up that you do not take this class online. Very rarely he did anything except post what needed to be done. The work was easy, except him posting unrealistic times to take the exam. That must take AT school. People work, they didn't sign up for online classes to be forced to take exam in a 3-4 day window.

Wow! What is going on? One minute we are learning about email, next we have to use excel functions, oh and here is a video about computer hardware. If you like confusing classes that go no where, take this professor.
