Comment:

Possibly one of the smartest people I've met. Knows just about everything in his subject. He's extremely helpful and really involved with students who are interested in the course. Extremely structured course and very well planned, detailed notes. His exams can be somewhat intimidating, but is always aimed at imroving your understanding.

Amato cares about his students. He is deeply invested in the teaching process, works very hard to present physics in innovative and effective ways, and will go several extra miles for students who put in effort. He can be a challenging professor because he has trouble dealing with students who make basic mistakes or do not share his work ethic.

Amato is a great professor. His lectures are set up very well and he is clear in his explanation of the material. Every once in a while he busts out a great demonstration, one time he even got in a red wagon and shot himself across the room with a fire extinguisher. Take if you want to be challened
