Terrible prefessor. All he does is lecture so you never know what he expects you to know for his tests. The only grades you get are his tests so if you fail one, you might as well drop his class. He does not care how hard you try. Heartless man who did not care even though I tried my hardest for the class. Ended up with a D.

Bristow was honestly the best professor I have ever had. He is beyond knowledgeable, extremely patient and helpful. You need to do one thing in this class: learn exactly what he preaches. Period, he is awesome. I have not forgot anything that he taught me.

I don't get why people don't like Bristow; he's my favorite professor I've had. Jolly old man who is passionate about what he does. I'm in a class of about 50-60 and he knows almost everyone's name. Approachable. Gives out a study guide before we even start the material. Easy to take notes because he defines everything word-for-word in class.

hes awesome i had him for one semester for civil rights his tests were very EASY . i barley ever went to class and i just did the assignments and i got a B . his tests were kinda hard but just take notes ull do fine ! he goes over stuff if u ask and hes really really sweet but its just a very BORING class.

I do not know what everyone is on about when it comes to Professor Bristow, I've taken his classes two semesters in a row and gotten easy A's. As long as you're able to understand the material - not a hard feat - he's a good teacher.

He's a great guy, but the class does require that you do the work. So show up, pay attention, take good notes, occasionally do the readings, and you'll do great. He funny and can make even the dryest material interesting. Highly recommended!

Amer. Gov' tsparked an interest for me. His lectures are not for those straight out of HS. His blackboard notes do not cooperate with the tests. Best advice is to READ EACH CHAPTER slowly. However He is a good teacher & very knowledgeable. Do not take this if your looking for an easy grade.

Bristow is a funny prof., but he is slightly difficult. if u don't take notes your a tad bit screwed. if u ask him a question and try to say something else he kinda just keeps talking but that's just the way he is.
