Dr. Faulds has been my favorite professor thus far. He holds each and every one of his students in high regard. He gives the most knowledgeable lectures I've witnessed to date. He is honestly one of the best professors I've had in my academic career, and his retirement saddens me deeply.

He cares about his students and has awesome qualities like speaking Greek , Latin, and being very knowledgeable of literature and its background(s) because of his Greek and Latin background. He also cares more about the content of a students essays than the trivial matters.

Dr. Faulds is one of those professors that you wish would teach every one of your classes. He truly loves what he teaches, and treats the students with more respect than any teacher I have had thus far. His tests are super easy, I studied for an hour the night before each test and always got between a 105-115%. It's directly off the study guide.

Took the honors section. He is a good teacher, but his lectures seemed so repetitive to me. The Odyssey was a great book but he repeated the same concepts in every lecture and it really annoyed me. But an easy class. Fair grading on papers, but will count off for improper spelling on short answer tests.

*I took the HONORS SECTION of this course.* Dr. Faulds is incredibly kind. He made learning literature fun, somehow! The class is pretty easy--we only had 2 or 3 short answer tests and 3 essays. You study a unit for a few weeks, then take a test and write an essay over it. He gives you the option to forego the final short answer test.

This class was absolutely amazing. I would suggest Dr.Faulds to ANYONE. If you like literature, he will make you love it even more. If you don't care for literature, he presents it in a way that makes it more than bearable. If he teaches a class you need, GET HIM.

I absolutely hated anything to do with reading or literature...before this class. I had to take Intro to Lit to satisfy honors requirement, and before the class i was dreading it. Dr. Faulds is one of the best teachers i have ever had, and honestly changed the way i view literature. TAKE HIS CLASS.

Dr. Faulds is so helpful and really cares about you learning the info and not just getting through the test. He gives a study guide before the test of exactly what's on the test, he also gives extra credit on every test. Faulds was the best foreign language professor I have ever taken.

Dr. Faulds is a fantastic teacher. If you take detailed notes and keep up with the reading list, his class is a breeze. He does good job reinforcing the course concepts by having students break off into small groups. During this activity, he goes around the room and listens to the discussions, and he also offers his opinions.

Dr. Faulds is a brilliant teacher. He truly respects his students and loves the material. At first I found his accent somewhat pretentious, but quickly came to see it wasn't so. He also seems to purposely choose cheap textbooks (which you should definitely buy) as to make the material easily accessible. Highly recommended professor.

Have had two semesters of Greek with him. Very good at teaching language. Goes slow enough that anyone can learn easily and goes right through the text book. Also very personable, helpful and interesting. A truly gifted and wonderful educator.
