I hate to sound mean, but this guy should really be retired. He goes off on tangents that don't have anything to do with the subject matter, and his grading criteria is never clear. It's impossible to predict what will be on his tests (and given his disorganized lectures, that's really a pain). Honestly, he's a nice guy, but I got very little out of his courses.

I can't say that I enjoyed the class or that I learned a lot. I can say it could have been much worse. He is a very tough grader. Welcome to Kent's journalism department -- THEY ALL ARE. They want us to be professionals, and thus demand excellence. Nothing wrong with that. He is getting up there, but he is awfuly nice and he really knows his****.

Probably the nicest professor I've ever had, but simply not good at lecturing. He's very hard to understand and not captivating, but willing to help you with anything. I didn't think he was a hard grader at all.
