I found him funny and his lectures were enjoyable. Anybody who doesn't like this prof. never came to class or talked to him.

If you attend the discussion sessions, he is frequently there and much more than willing to answer questions (and even fenagle a grade if needed) . . . very friendly and extraordinarily helpful outside of his lectures of complex material for a freshman who is not good at math-based sciences.

Heppert was very enthusiastic, and honestly showed interest in making sure that students learned. He even makes the rounds around the 1000-student-capacity Budig 120 while teaching. That's just impressive.

He was a good professor, but the class was way too boring. The TA's lectured a lot which was extremely annoying. Overall, I would recommend him, but only if you find chem. interesting.

If you study and do the problems, an A is definitely possible. Lecture is pretty boring, and he giggles a lot, but the class is bearable.

Comment:
He is the only science teacher I've had so far at KU that actually gives a crap about his students. If you actually study the class is not that bad. He can do all the problems he assigns you, which is refreshing. Overall he is a good professor.

He's better one on one than in front of a large group. He giggles alot and uses words like "Squishy" to describe molecules so you never really know what he means
