Thinks too much in his head, does not explain things thoroughly, no point in taking notes cuz they won't make sense. Not helpful, ask him for help and he just confuses you. Had the math resource center teach me instead.

Professor Matti likes to tell corny jokes. He's a nice prof and I generally enjoyed his class. Being it was only once a week he didn't have a lot of lecture time. I had to learn a lot from the book. He is fair with grading, gives you credit if you miss a step or two. In all a decent professor.

He taught the trigonometry section of 140. He is very funny. The material is hard-to me but he was a fair teacher and seems to give a lot of points for trying. One of the quizzes I really bombed and should have had a 50% and I got a 70%. I'd take him again.

Wow. I've never met a math teacher who made references to trig functions as curly, moe and larry. Interesting guy that's all I can say. I wouldn't recommend taking him, but if you do it's no big deal if you have to.

Wonderful Math teacher, I'm not very good in math and recieved a B. Get to know him go to his office it really works. He loves Red Wings, mention you do to and you will forever be on his good side!!! NO large exams only one quiz every week. Final is those quizes and he will tell you what questions will be on exam! Take if you can, on of the best!

Very cute & funny grampa-ish guy, you can tell he knows his stuff, but he just isn't good at teaching it. He always did the algebra in his head and pulled numbers out of nowhere, not stopping to explain. But he did give sample quizzes just like the real ones, and allowed us to use a note card on the quizzes.

Comment:

Matti knows his subject very well, but sometimes has a hard time teaching it. He gives practice quizes that are exactly like the real quizes, which makes it really easy. He loves telling jokes and talking about his gambling days, but its kinda funny. I would recommend him.

Personally, I like Prof. Matti very much. A very witty and charming man. But I have always struggled with mathematics and he goes way too fast and skips important steps. I honestly do wish I could give him a better rating.
