Comment:

90% of the class is spent on Powerpoints and lecture. He does not go over very many examples in class and does not break things down for you in terms that you can understand. Tough grader is also an understatement. I never would have considered taking a class like this online but I think I would have been better off if I did. Very disappointed.

The material is difficult and the professor speaks very fast. I can't catch up because English is my second language. The lecture didn't help me. It is more efficient for me to study all the material by myself.

The only thing you can do here is read the textbook. Unfortunately, this professor is an intelligent man but he is not able to articulate the material in a manner for students to understand. If you can, take another professor. Or you can take it online. This class is not easy, you should take it with someone who can teach if you need a professor.

This was an online class. The dynamic is very different from traditional classes. Assignments and instructions are clear. Will help if you ask. Expect a class project and to read a lot. Gives feedback on homework, which is good, especially in this field. Fair grades. Expect to use your textbook. Will definitely take again.

Took his online Managerial Accounting class. Usually a pretty tough class but his exams and quizzes were fair. The homework is long but helpful. I never had to contact him for clarification because everything was laid out very clearly in the syllabus. Not a tough grader at all, if you show effort he will reward you for it.

He taught everything in the book. Accounting is difficult, so you are expected to read it. Quizzes and homework are online, so its a bit easier. Exams are fair, needed to know the format of the tables

I am typically pretty terrible at online courses, but this course was a great balance. I thought the instructor did a great job of setting reasonable due dates and providing helpful feedback! He was always accessible in a timely manner by email and the course was interesting. It wasn't too time intensive, but also a good use of my time.

Mr. Moran may not be the most dynamic speaker but he is a good guy and a decent teacher. Sometimes he doesn't like how the book teaches some topics so he'll give you an easier way to do the problems. Tests are fair and he tells you what kind of problems will be on them. I would take this teacher again.

Professor is really hard to follow. Lectures are almost worthless at times. This a is a class you need to teach yourself most of the content. Class also requires Wiley Plus which is an additional expense. Tests are fair and he allows you to throw out 3 out of 5 quiz scores. I would not take this instructor again.

Dropped Intermediate Accounting class just because of this teacher. It took a year before I decided to try another accounting class. He made me feel like an idiot.

Professor is pretty boring and will talk to fill time. You will NOT get out of his class early, EVER! Got an A in the class but lots of homework. TESTS WERE EXTREMELY HARD!!! I do not recommend this teacher unless you have no life and want to spend all of your free time studying for his unreasonably hard tests. Good luck to you if you ignore me.

He's a good teacher and knows his stuff, plus he has a lot of life experience working in different companies. BUT his tests and quizzes are pretty hard, so it's definitely not an easy A. If you do most of what you're supposed to, you can get a B.

I am an older student and took Intermediate Accounting I this fall and ended up with an A in the course. However, I never connected with this teacher, and after the first 8 weeks into the course, even with good grades, considered dropping the course. The man knows his stuff, however, plan on outside tutoring and many hours studying for tests.

The man is full of himself! Plus you won't learn anything since he rushes through chapters and freaks out when asked questions and threatens to call the security for disrupting his classes. Avoid, avoid and I repeat avoid his classes.

By all means avoid taking class with this "ugly duckling". He most likely didn't get enough attention when he was younger since he now takes it out on students. He repeatedly tells students that "accounting is not for everyone". Rather than helping folks succeed or do better, he puts people down, judges and tries to weed out "the bad students".

His teaching style is reading in a monotonous tone of voice crouched over a textbook. Plan on taking the quizzes and exams without fully covering the material and the homework; he has no scheduled exam dates. He spends a lot of class time talking about himself and his past experiences but he often forgets the facts & makes them up on the go.
