Poetry was... an experience. Raffa is a good guy and if you talk to him about poems, he will definitely like you. he wants you to try and to put in effort, and if you do that, youll be fine. people walk all over him and i felt terrible - he is a genuinely good guy who loves poems. you wont learn much, but if your taking it for a gen ed, why not?

amazing gpa booster. midterm is extremely easy. final is a take home. research paper is not bad at all. stories are actually pretty interesting. bring your laptop to class and chill but listen to him summarize the stories cause it makes the semester easier. google the analysis of each story

Yes class is boring, but he knows what he is talking about and makes it easy to get an A. Only a midterm and final, essay form and choose between 2 topics. 1 paper or presentation, if you choose the 30 minute class presentation, you get a half letter grade higher (B- to a B+, B to an A, etc). Strongly recommend.

Painfully boring, class itself was very easy- attendance not really needed. However will sometimes try and grade unfairly if he notices you not in class. Overall wouldn't recommend

Boring but there's only a midterm and final along with one paper. Have to read only a few of the stories to do well. I would highly recommend this class. Very easy.

Teacher "uses" book a lot but when it comes to the midterm/final you don't need to have done all the readings just a few you like - he takes class attendance but there is no credit for it so you might as well not go, teacher is boring class is useless but easy way to get an A or an A-

He's annoying. He gives A's to kids who slide their way through the course and he gives A-'s to the kids who actually work for an A. If you have to take an English gen ed, take him but avoid him otherwise.

Raffa is old-fashioned and not very approachable, but he knows the material. He tends to talk a lot, easy to zone out in class! Only 2 exams and an essay, but he's not a harsh grader. You've probably read a lot of the stories/books in high school (Hamlet, Great Gatsby).

Raffa knows what he is talking about, he is very intelligent but often goes off track and is hard to understand sometimes. However he is not that hard on grading papers and exams, but is sometimes hard to understand what he expects from you.
