Comment:

Absolutely abysmal. Explains nothing, reads off his ancient website, and we use a program from 2004. Zips through the lessons and explains nothing. Has projects, but no one knows what he wants for them so everyone bombs those and his tests. Marks answers wrong if he thinks you guess he thinks you are guessing. At St. Xavier now, worst class ever.

Probably one of the worst teachers ever. I am currently taking him at Saint Xavier and is terrible. All the tests are free response and he whips through the lesson. When you ask a question you are regarded as stupid. I suggest not taking him. I am waiting to see what my grade is on last exam. Then determining to drop class.

On the first day of class, there were about 25 students... On the last day of class, there were about 10 of us left. Several of which must re-take the class due to failing grades. ***Great classroom policies: NO homework, 1-2 tedious projects maybee twice a month? Open note, open book tests. Pretty nice, but gets irritated if you ask questions.

I read the reviews from other students and took the class, all in all this teacher was not good at all, very rude, and if you didnt undersatnd the problem he would make you look very dumb in front of the whole class so now I dropped and am far behind now.

Joseph is a good teacher yes, I will give him that. But he isn't the best. I had trouble with my Trig & Stats class in high school so I decided to take an easier Math course. Joe doesn't get in detail about many things and typically flies through the lesson. I would only suggest this class to people who are extremely punctual and fluent with math.

I read the reviews and decided to take him. I'm horrible at math and he does NOT help my situation. He wrote the book and we don't even use it. He knows what he's talking about...he just doesn't know how to teach it to others. He makes you feel dumb when you ask a question and the tests are not multiple choice. I do NOT recommend him.

Not a good online teacher! He said to email him with any questions, so I often did regarding our 3 weekly projects. He gave me sarcastic unhelpful answers most of the time. If you can teach yourself with little feedback it's not a bad class online, but I don't personally like Sukta as a teacher.

Mr. Sukta is a great teacher! All of his tests are open book and open notes. You only have about 7 or 8 mandatory assignments and they're all fairly easy. If you are satisfied with your final exam grade, you can use that for your overall grade. We always get out of class early too which is a plus! I would definitely recommend him.

I absolutely hated math through High School and was dreading the math class for my associates. Professor Sukta was hands down the best math teacher I've ever had, and we only learned useful stuff in MTH120. Would recommend his class to anyone, all tests are open book/note and he drops the lowest test. Homework wasn't bad. Overall excellent class

Its been 20 years since my last college math class, I did read the reviews online for this Instructor and was a bit nervous, after completely failing the first test, I came back and aced the next 2 and did ok in the final, bottom lie I got a B and kicked myself for not getting an A, but his online class is very GOOD, you just have to commit to it.

I enjoyed the class because it pertains to real life math solutions and not just some equations you will never use again. He is very clear in his lectures and if you pay attention and take notes, you will do great. Homework and attendance are not mandatory, but if you want to pass you should do both!

Nice guy, took 139 online, big mistake. Did ok on the first test, after that it was all downhill. I think that the questions are relative to life which makes it easier but we were not given the answers to homwork which was a big problem for me. I spent 5 hours in the testing center taking one test. Dont take it online, go to his class.

treats you like an adult, you are responsible for your own work , he is very helpful but the class was hard for me, if you did well on the test or the final and you knew the material, he treated you in a mature way and you were graded accordingly. I am very surprised this prof. doesn't get a higher rating, this was a class I really learned from!!!

Good teacher IMO. he gives good projects that have applications in real life and IN YOUR TESTS. open book/note tests. if you fail its all on you. hes really not that hard. he might be on the wierd side but he does help you when you need it. be warned tho he WILL NOT BABYSIT you. it is up to YOU if you want to pass the class. ask questions!!!

He's good. Counts on students to ask questions, that's pretty much the day right there. The projects are interesting and apply what you learned to real world experiences. Doesn't collect homework, just goes over the problems. Makes a lot of small mistakes, which sometimes makes you question he's knowledge of the subject but he does know a lot.
