Please, do not take this class. I am a 4.0 student and I have never gotten anything other than an A. I attended ALL lectures and I studied EXTREMELY hard for the first 2 exams and I received a C- and a C. This class is impossible. Do not take this class.

Dr. Tupper is awesome and he's willing to help if you attend class. The class is hard though... it's a lot of information and you really need to pay attention and read the textbook, and 8 am is kinda painful. Otherwise, I'd recommend this class. Just pay attention to what he covers in class and you'll be fine.

There is no syllabus so good look with keeping up with the assignments. He goes out to get coffee during class, which is something I find EXTREMELY disrespectful. Good thing is you don't have to go to the lecture. Just read the book and you'll be fine

Disorganized. No clear syllabus. Go to class to see what parts of the text he covers and then MEMORIZE your brains out with just those parts. Book is KEY. I went to every class and did not learn much, because he kept teaching only the easiest concepts while the tests were difficult and specific. I LOVE the subject, but avoid this class if you can.

No assigned homework. Multiple choice exams. No quizzes. Read the text and go to class and it will be an easy A. Sometimes exams questions lack clarity.

Tupper is a jolly nice guy. Unfortunately, the class is stressfully disorganized. In lecture, he randomly puts up figures from the book and talks and talks. It seems like minimalist effort for lecture. Many times, he says an incorrect statement, then corrects himself--it can be confusing. Go to class to see what he covers and then memorize the book.

Honestly, go to class and pay attention and you'll do jusr fine. He's very clear and explains everything very very well. Everything you learn builds on itself so really just go to class. The exams are HEAVILY lecture based so again, go to his class. It can be boring at times so feel I guess you could skip it, unless of course you want to do well.

I like him. To be honest, it's really interesting stuff, and he makes it easy to understand. Yeah he's old and mono-toned, but I haven't learned this much in a Bio class yet...

he has a monotone voice which is bad cuz the class is early in the morning and he can be an ass sometimes when he randomly walks out of his lectures and brings in coffee for himself to drink when the rest of the class is falling asleep. the way he organizes his syllabus is ridiculous considering that he has no syllabus (there are no dates for the e

He teaches with all the lights off and shades down at 8:30 AM. His lectures are random and almost impossible to follow. Students can't write as fast as he speaks. Exams cover material never mentioned in class. If this class is avoidable, do so!

355 (phys) and 325 (cell). He only teaches at 8:30am, doesn't care about anyone in the class or if you show up, barely explains anything and then gives tests on stuff he never taught. One of the worst teachers out there, but almost unavoidable.
