one of the worst professor in RU. Do not ever ever take this guy! Doesn't have sense of humor, comes late in class. I don't know why Radford is spending time and money on him, just a worst, unhelpful professor i have ever seen in RU. I would avoid him at any cost. This guy is horrible, if you decide to take his course, do not expect any help!

Mr. Spillman was not the best professor. This class was mostly on the computer & when you had a question his only answer is "Did you do the homework and the tutorial?" Most of the material was pretty straight forward, but he doesnt answer questions. I even went to his office hours and he still couldnt explain it well.

Awful, TERRIBLE teacher. He is no help AT. ALL. Everyone that received help was either a female student or a few favorites. He is intimidating and you can't come to him for literally anything. He may have not made attendance mandatory but he does now and it is BS. All of what you learn is thought he book, and he's a very tough grader on assignments

I thought he was a good teacher. Attendance was not mandatory but helped a lot once the material got harder. All test were open book and were similar to the excel homework assignments. I ended up learning a lot about excel in this class and still use what I learned. Idk why everyone else thinks hes so terrible. Nice guy too.

I dunno why everyones hatin on him. Yea, he's always late for class lol. But the point is this class is EASY if you show up for the attendance grade. Lectures are boring but whatever, just do the open book/note quizzes onine, hw, and study for the exams and you'll have an A easy. He's also my ITEC495 professor and advisor. He's extremely helpful

Terrible teacher, I have always respected the professors at RU... but this man completely lost my respect when he would belittle this students. Goes off on tangents, shows up late for class regularly, hard tests, strict attendance policy. If you miss more than 3 days, its 5 points per miss off your final grade. I wouldn't suggest taking him.

This professor is by far the worst professor I have had in my life. He doesn't answer question or emails. Always late for class. Very arrogant. I tried to answer a question that I knew, and he told me I was wrong. The thing was, it wasn't anything about information technology. Very boring class, I do not recommend him at all. Horrible professor!!!

I am convinced he is there simply to give you an assignment and administer tests. If you actually do need help on a topic, then chances are he doesnt know the answer. Doesnt respond to emails, very hard to get ahold of him short of showing up at office hours. Easy class, horrible teacher.

Dr. Spillman is a straight-shooter. I enjoyed him as a professor and would definitely take him again. He does a nice job of relating life experiences to the class. He can come across as having an ego or unapproachable but overall he's a nice man. He gives you plenty of time to work on assignments since the class is challenging. I recommend him!!!

He is a really mean professor. He does not accept late or unstapled work, and he will not answer any questions asked of him. He tends to repeat himself in lectures ALOT, but attendance is not manditory, so I stopped going. He does not understand much about computers as far as using them. He has trouble navigating Explorer. DONT TAKE HIM FOR ITEC!!!

To be teaching a class on how to use computers and software, he's rather unknowledgible about the subject. His lectures are way longer than they should be, because he repeats the same simple thing constantly. He was 2-5 minutes late to class every day, but if a student is late, he'll either not let them in the class or not accept their homework.

One day my printer broke... in class i couldnt print out my hw till the end of class wen i went to give it to him he refused to take it b/c it was not stapled.... i was uninterested in his class and i sat on my computer talking aim the whole time.... im actually in his class right now writting this. dont take him! but the course itself is helpful.

the first day of class i thought he would be fun but as the semester went on, i dreaded having to go to class. lectures are horribly borring and make absolutely no sense unless you read the 50page chapter ahead of time. tests are super super hard, almost impossible to make an A unless you are a computer wiz.
