This is the hardest class I have ever taken, I barely passed it. Tests were nearly impossible to do well on, despite memorizing everything on the study guides. Most confusing multiple choice set up I have ever seen. Grades on a weird bell curve so not everyone gets their grades raised. 3 (brutal) tests and one paper. Avoid this class at all costs.

Hard format for tests. Most of class failed every test. He does a final class curve which barely helps. He lectures are boring. He just sits in a chair and talks on and on. Sometimes gets off topic. Pro: good at responding back

I am sorry that I took this professor. This is my second religion class, and J. Weseloh is not objective in presenting each religion. Also, his multiple choice tests are poorly worded, so even though I could write essays about the subject and my knowledge is thorough, his tests are not allowing my knowledge to show.

He lectures the whole entire class most of the time and his tests are based straight off the notes you take in class. You really need to study the material for the tests are you are not going to do well. He was very boring, so just try to stay awake and take as much notes as you can.

Joseph is one wacky guy, and although you will learn a lot in his class, it is by no means easy. You have to take as many notes as possible, as three exams are given throughout the semester which are worth a ton of points. I am happy I took his class, but as I mentioned; I was no easy task.

Took world religions class. He's funny in a cynical way so class isn't too boring even though he lectures the whole time. Definitely take lots of notes and be there every day!! dont need to buy the book but it is cheap ($15). Tests are hard! study the study guide really well and ur good!

Other than being somewhat hard to follow Professor Weseloh made World Religions fun. His humor is a bit odd but funny in my opinion. He can come off as harsh and somewhat unfeeling but I believe it's his personality and that he really does care that students learn. Study hard, take good notes, and remember to enjoy the class!

Nice guy. Prior comments make him out to seem like a jerk, but maybe those people should've studied more. I was shocked I made it out with a B! Rather difficult class (tests are hard!) He loves to lecture the whole time, not a lot of discussion. Don't waste your time buying the book.

This class was great. He's very clear about the material and thorough in his explanations. I think I'll remember what I learned for a long time. There were 5 very simple homework assignments and 3 tests. The tests were not too difficult. Don't bother buying the book.

Not an enjoyable class. He tells some interesting stories & has a dry but humorous personality but he's not the greatest teacher. He expects his students to teach themselves and his tests were rather difficult. I would suggest taking a different teacher who actually makes the subject interesting.

I took this guy about a year ago and I have to agree that he is very boring. Lectured the entire time and got irritated if anyone asked a question. The tests were super detail-oriented. The first one caught me off guard, the rest were hard but I knew what I was getting into. Not a horrible class but take another teacher if possible.

If you show up to class each time you will have no problem doing well. His test are NOT tricky. There aren't many points in the class but if you stay on top of it you can easily get an A. The professor doesn't expect a whole lot from students, and is clear about what he does expect. His stories are great, keeps class interesting.

I wish to emphasize how fair this teacher is, I frequently came in very late, and did so in a disrespectful manner, basically I would just walk clumsily to the front and cross his path for a corner seat. It was very public & very disrespectful (I realize now how shameless I was) yet he still gave me an A. It was very kind of him.

An obviously comepetent teacher with a very friendly yet professional attitude regarding the studies. Able to keep the class fun while remaining composed and politically correct. This teacher understands his field at many levels--the technical, philosophical, and personal. Because of this teacher I retain an interest in this subject years later.

This is a very good and interesting class. Slackers don't like this class because the teacher expects you to stay awake in class and study hard, apparently this is a surprise to many people. He is a good teacher but if you are lazy and don't care about school don't take this, or any other class for that matter.
