This was the most difficult class I ever had and it was to much work 4 only 2 units. I was annoyed by it and I can't seem to learn anything from it. I liked the no class Merton and that was it.

Dr. Hanson is a wonderful professor. She is by far my favorite. She is passionate in helping her students. There were 5 textbooks and online readings but they were all useful and necessary because you need to incorporate the readings in her exams in the essay portion. She does not gives study guides but her lectures are all you need along w/reading

Loved this class. Her slideshows were interactive because they were not available online and she would say the information in class so needless to say you must attend class or have a buddy. NO electronics whatsoever. tests were nicely worded. She's a professor with a fun personality.

Awesome professor! I didn't think I would like US History as much as I did! I didn't read the book once, just did the online quizzes, and took good notes (you need them), exams are straight from the notes, no traps. She is fun and exciting even from 6-8pm :D

You have to fulfill the requirement, you might as well enjoy it. Take this class! In the past, I've hated some history classes, I totally loved this class! She's a wonderful professor! You don't need to attend the lectures, but if you want to get A's & B's on your work, go for it. Get the book-it really helps. :D She's just awesome. A+!

Dr. Hanson is a great experience because she does exactly what she says she is going to do and there is never any surprise unlike some of the other cusb professors. She has high standards but it great at helping you learn how to succeed and she shuts down stupid students who try to waste class time without fail. I reccomend her.

I am so depressed because I am graduating and this is the last class I will ever take with Dr. Hanson. She is inspiring and brilliant and I always walk out of her class a better person all around. Her lectures are awesome. She can get hard core on grading but if you keep up then you should at least pull a B. I have too really work for an A.

Could not ask for a better Professor. Enjoyed the class immensely. Make sure you show up to class (because most of tests are taken from the notes and the power point), read all the chapters and interact in class and you?ll get an A. The class is NOT BOREING. She makes me want to change my major to History just so I can take all her classes.

Hanson is great. She gives quite a bit of reading, but as a history major what would you expect? 3 Book review, a power point presentation, 2 tests. Typical Hist format, ID's and Essay (very broad). Interesting class lecture and discussion. Only problem, takes attendance. that's lame, but otherwise great class! Recommend it only for hist majors.

Dr. Hanson is an awesome teacher. I had her for 201 and liked her so much I took her 345 class. I was never much into history but I love the way she goes about teaching it, focusing on how people actually lived and felt instead of just dates, names and battles. I would never take history class from anyone else.
