I'm a fan. Definitely a bit different than the rest of the English department. Lectures a lot, but I would too if I knew as much as her. I really enjoyed the material, but wasn't always sure of her expectations on presentations, etc.

Writing the papers was kind of frustrating, so that was my least favorite part of the class. The rest was really fun, and I liked it, but I don't think I'll be taking another English class with her. However, I do recommend her classes to other people.

Awesome professor! She's really knowledgeable about the material, and her passion for it shows. Mechanics are very important for her papers, but she's an English professor, so that should be assumed. If you pay attention, contribute, and are respectful, she's an awesome teacher. If you don't, you're wasting your time in class anyway.

Previous poster is crazy, in all of the classes I have taken with her no student has expressed such complaints. Great teacher, her knowledge of the subject matter is unparalleled, and it is possible to get an A if you work for it and are respectful and engaged in class. One of my all-time favorites!

Horrible teacher - rambles in class about nothing important for an hour. She teaches you things that you learned in middle school, but refuses to give A's on papers for absolutely no reason. One of the worst teachers I've ever had, she's a joke!

Dr. Lionarons is great! She *really* knows her stuff about medieval lit. It's amazing when she can bust out a line of Beowulf in Old English, from memory, and argue with Seamus Heany about the translation...she knows *everything*. almost.
