She was nice but i would have rather had a different teacher for the class. Whereas the other intro classes just danced, she actually assigned essays and there was a few quizes. She even told us it would be very hard to get an A in the class.

Avoid taking intro to dance with her at all costs!!- expectations exceed that of people with no prior dance experience, the amount of stuff you need to do for this class is ridiculous- not an easy A!! most people do not recieve an A in her class- must make up a 3 min dance and perform a 1 min solo for final- TAKE IT WITH SOMEONE ELSE IF YOU CAN!!!!

OK, I dont know about all the other comments people left, but I thought Juanita was a great teacher.You have to write like 2 papers and theres quizzes every once in a while. Her class is pretty easy as long as you do the work. My only complaint was that shes not very clear about writing papers..she'll just say "its in the workbook"..great prof tho!

This class was fun, she kept you for the full three hours of night class, but the time usually went by fast- i learned a lot about working with children, and Juanita is very knowledgeable- and fun

Juanita is one of the most gifted teachers I have ever had the luxury of studying with. She is incredibly knowledgable and imparts a love of learning to her students. Anyone who takes her class should consider themselves lucky to learn from her.

Class was unfocused, and she asked a lot of you for a dance class. The other Intro to Dance classes did not have nearly as much work outside the class to do. this was the worst dance class I have ever taken

Whatever the course is, she should teach her students ballet before they try to teach it to other students. Arts may be required for all majors, but techniques are worsened when the teachers can't even stand correctly in 2nd position. Go back to dance class before you inflict others with poor tech.
