One of the best courses I have ever taken! Great professor and very influential person. He will go over the case briefs in depth and answers your questions as best as he can. He can also be pretty lenient on deadlines. He will not make you stay in class past 8:30 or 9:00PM. One of my favorite teachers! Take the course especially if you like law.

the best class at UMass! Carhart is the awesome. Take this class and apply for his internship, its a great experience. You meet a lot of cool people and see a lot of interesting cases. ADVICE: laugh at his jokes and if you do well on your midterm the final is optional!

The best Legal Studies professor! I learned alot in this class. Take this class for a very valuable internship opportunity. He is very nice and very understanding - he just wants you to learn whatever your learning style. Make sure to laugh at his jokes
