Dr. Judge is not as bad as everyone makes him sound. Considering he now does not write his own exams they are much more fair than what others were saying before. Encourages questions to be asked and explains them in clear detail. If you are willing to put in some effort you will do fine

Is not a teacher....he is a chemist. When approached by a student he turns into a hermit. Everything is online so like some one said be prepared for DIY Chemistry. On the upside his grading scale is really simple ie lower than 50% is failing

He is hard teacher who believes students learn the most when they struggle. Saying this I did learn way more than all the other 102 students from other teachers I know. You have to dedicate time "10-20 hr/week" studying to get a good grade. Expect to take 2hr's on homework and quizzes. Best part is the bragging rights you get after passing his clas

If you really want to learn chemistry he is the teacher to take. He is one of the most challenging teachers at Parkside but believe it or not he does want his students to succeed and is willing to help if you ask. If you achieve even a C in his class it is something to brag about. He is a very hard teacher but a very good teacher.

If you are not a chem major, avoid Dr Judge at all cost. He knows his stuff, but is old school and super hardcore about memorizing everything. He teaches way over the heads of most first year students. Rambling lectures, brutal exams, and piles of math intensive homework round out the package of pain.

Run for the hills! Okay, in all fairness, Professor Judge puts up notes, homework assignments, and practice quizzes online, but be prepared with the concept of "do-it yourself chemistry". Lectures are brutal because he contantly edits while writing formulas on the board and is a bit condescending when it comes to answering questions.

As long as you do the homework problems and PRINT out his notes (they are online), you should do fine. I had prior knowledge of chemistry before this course though, so that may have helped. But just stay on top of everything and make sure you understand the concepts and how to do everything! Everything builds in Chemistry.

chemistry is fairly easy to me so i didnt have trouble with his class. but if you think you might struggle with it, find someone else. he is horrible at explaining things and makes them way more difficult than they need to be. i felt bad for those who needed to follow his lectures and couldnt figure it out themselves. his grading is kind of BS too.

I learned a lot b/c I was forced too. I would've went to get help from him if he hadn't made it painfully clear I wasn't welcome to. It's something to be proud of if you survive 101 & 102 with him! I think it's a classic case of a teacher who has been teaching the same thing for so long that they get pisses when students don't get it on the first try.

Absolute genius of a man, and far superior to Chang when teaching intro level chemistry. he expects a lot out of you, and unless you are willing to put time and effort into the homework, he will know and care just as little as you do. Got an A in 101 and B+ in 102.

Excellent teacher. Was very helpful and would clarily anything you didn't understand. It's a college course so it's going to be a little challenging, but if you read and do the problems in the book you will get a good grade. I would definitely take this teacher for another chemistry class.

I took 101 and 102 with him. I got a C in both classes but I thought he was a great teacher. Always helped when I needed and he made you study. Gave enough info to get started and then made you think for the rest of it. Thats what school is about learning for yourself Not getting the answers on a silver platter.

For the LOVE OF GOD do not take his class! I failed his class then got a B in summer class like a month later. Something doesn't add up.... He is a horrible teacher who couldn't care less about teaching or his students. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This man is your worse nightmare. Doesnt believe women should be in the field of chemistry. His hard ass, humiliating teaching style has gone to the extent of making girls cry. Very hard to focus on the actually material at hand when Im so busy concentrating on not making a mistake, to belittle me infront of the class.Makes a degree unobtainable.
