Comment:

I don't understand the negative comments, except for these younger students believing being on a phone in class is normal. I heard there was a problem with the other earlier class last semester. But our class was great and Judi was great also. Very easy to work with, as long as her students applied themselves.

Comment:

Literally this class is terrible just because of the teacher. The actual work isnt really hard or confusing at all and we used a free online textbook which was nice and so I could easily teach myself. But in class she was flustered and taught many concepts wrong as well as being unprofessional, wasting time, and being very slow to teach and grade.

Do not recommend! She has taught something completely wrong and made students get rid of those notes, just to teach it completely wrong from a different approach and start all over again. Students ask questions and she never understands, replies sarcastically, and then gets irritated. Quizzes and tests don't relate to class lectures.

She had good notes and the class wasn't hard, she was just very strict. She takes attendance religiously and fails you if you miss too many classes. You'll also fail assignments if they're not stapled properly. Also, her attitude is negative 80% of the time and she calls people out for phones, talking, and breathing.

Easily the worst math professor I have experienced. She doesn't even move quickly - she is just awful in general. She doesn't much care for the students. As for the class, every Thursday there is a quiz. The other days you are being lectured on material, and expect her to lose track of what she is teaching at least once everyday. Very displeased.

Excellent teacher! Sometimes she goes a bit fast during lecture, but if you ask a question or to go back a bit she'll listen. Makes the material digestible, and a bit fun. Easy to ask questions, very personable. Just make sure you put the time into the homeworks, if you struggle there you WILL struggle on the tests!

Great teacher. There is 7 tests and she takes your best 5. There is online homework worth 20% of your grade and a final at the end of the year worth 30%. Attendance is not mandatory but she explains a lot in class so it is helpful. If you go to class it is fairly easy. I would recommend taking her, good teacher

She gives detailed lectures that show examples very similar to test problems. The hardest part of the class is staying focused, since their is no "you try" or interaction in the class. Her Friday comics are great, mostly because she reads them aloud to the class!

Just a few words: TAKE HER! Judi does an amazing job at teaching calc. I am a terrible math student but with her help, I did great! She has spent so many years teaching math that she knows exactly what you did wrong and how to fix it. Best class all semester (and I hate math) :)

one of the best teachers ever. it's hard for me to pay attention, but she somehow was able to teach me calc. had for calc I and II, i dropped calc II half way, i had class during her office hours. taking from her again next term. very helpful, even gave cell # to all calc II students so we can get help any time she has it on. highly recomended
