She is the worst teacher I have ever had. I had to go to the Dean about her after she tried to fail me for not going to the writing center for a paper I had already handed in and had graded. I am thankful to never have a class with her again.

She is very knowledgeable and has high expectations. I will use much of what I learned in my own classroom. But, she has an inflexible attendance policy. She used to love me and then I got sick and had to miss classes. After that she put me on the spot in class and lowered my grade from an A to a B-, just for missing one class beyond her policy!

I had her years ago for a Secondary Education course. She was definitely one of my favorite college professors. In fact, I have been teaching for ten years and I'm still using ideas that I learned from her. She had very high expectations and I always respected that.

Nice lady, but you have to be a do-it-all kind of person to take this class. There is fieldwork, 3 lesson plans, a lesson presentation, 2 fieldtrips,a midterm, no final, but a 20+ pg. child study, and a 4 pg. NAEYC essay for ECE majors. BE ONTIME OR YOUR GRADE WILL SUFFER! I had to leave one of my other classes early just to be in Davis on time.

although her class is very helpful and she has some wonderful plans such as field trips and art lessons, she is biased,she will give you lower grade if she doesnt like you, she's rude, she's not accepting of other cultures really, even though she teaches multiculturism. she puts people on the spot and is disrespectful. she not tolerant of diversity

She is the second worst teacher I have had at SCSU. In my opinion its time for this bitter old woman to retirement. If she doesn't like you your screwed. She treats students differently. If your anything less than a perfect student she will treat you like dirt. Just pray she doesn't sing in your class.

Prob. Buzzell lets us call her by her first name (Judy). She completely understands when you need to get up and go the bathroom 50 times. Loves when people are completely silent and says its no big deal if you dont read the chapter. She does an awesome art lesson, that lets you put as much shaving cream as you want on the walls...

Prof. Buzzell cares a lot about her students. Her class was so much fun, we didnt want to leave. She is committed to her profession, she is experienced and smart. All good qualities for a college professor. I would gladly take another class with her anytime.

I don't undertstand why she has such a bad rep. She really is a nice lady. Might be mean as an advisor before your in the program but after she is really down to earth and caring. Great teacher really helps you learn the material that is required! i would take her again!!

Very nice lady. I dont know why everyone is on her case. Ok, she is a stickler for rules. So are most baby boomers, thats probably how she was taught. She's just trying to teach us different ways to teach, and everyone is like fighting her. Guys, let her do her job. Education is not easy to teach.

Very rough teacher. She is very heartless, rude, & disrespectful. If she doesn't like you she will grade you lower no matter what. 20% of your grade is for participation. watch out if you participate to much or to little she doesn't like you. She is too fussy esp. with her rule sheet for papers.
