coomes is the best professor through my college experience. I took her for Intro to Computer Science and thought she was great, so i took Calc 1 and Calc 2 with her. She really helps and gives extra time for help. Her humor is very sarcastic so you have to get used to it, but she is such a nice lady. Best calc proff at SCCC, definitely take her!

Took calc 2 with her over the summer. Everyone kept warning me about how hard calc 2 is, but she made it easy. She's also pretty funny. definitely take any class you can with her.

I currently have this professor at SCCC for statistics. I just wish people would better understand her sense of humor, Stats is a rather difficult class for me, but this instructor will NEVER hesitate to give a helping hand, EVER. Also, she understands her students quite well. :)

Best professor in the Comp Science Dept, probably the whole school. It is just a shame that she has to leave. Her teaching ways are great, explains everything to the point. Funny, kind, what more can u ask for. The other Comp Science professors should take some notes on her teaching methods. In her class you won't even need the book.

Wonderful lady. You may have trouble in the beginning because she dives straight into the complier. If you don't know what's going on, just ask questions. She does a great job in relating and bringing together all the concepts in the class... A note to the other faculty members: BUZZ OFF! She's a great instructor, stop knocking on her!

Professor Coomes is without a doubt the best computer science teacher that I've had and one of the best professors on the campus. I couldn't wait to go to her class, which was 7:00 - 8:15 at night. She's extremely easy to comprehend and will do anything in her power to get you to succeed.

Everything a good teacher needs to be. Clear, easy to understand, throrough, and not treating students as if they were reeses monkeys on crack (unlike one or two other teachers). Makes class enjoyable. The other teachers could learn much from her. Only one problem. She's a bit too nice at times.
