This was easily one of my favorite classes at WCSU and Oscar had a big part in making it enjoyable and interesting. The topics we went over were awesome (JFK conspiracies, bigfoot, paranormal.) There was a LOT of reading, 2 intensive writing assignments, a presentation, and some quizzes. Overall, if you apply yourself, you'll be fine.

Oscar is the best! He gives a lot of reading in some classes so keep up with it. He's the sweetest guy, easy grader & extremely knowledgeable. Class is never boring with him & you leave learning a lot. He's prompt with emails so if you ever have questions he'll respond quickly. Take his course if you ever have the chance, you won't regret it!!

Fun class. You write three fiction stories, then revise one for the final. Is an easy-going, laid-back guy. Attendance is important because you critique the stories in class. Big textbook (for short stories) isn't worth buying - look for the stories online. I recommend it if you like to write and have an interest in fiction.

Excellent! Oscar is the most influential professor I've encountered. A man who's enthusiastic, bright, encouraging, genuine, and funny. If you attend class, complete assignments on time, and participate, you'll be fine. He's also a fair grader. The best!!

Why is it that the people who most complain about profs are the worst writers? I took the same class as the person below and found Oscar to be one of the best profs ever: intelligent, interesting, and by far one of the nicest guys around. He brought me out of the middle ages into the modern world of literature in so many way. I loved it!
