I had Professor Hudson for Fieldwork in Child Development and it was a fun class! I would recommend taking it if you like working with kids! Overall the class consisted of fieldwork in the preschool, a few papers, a group project and creating a lesson plan/implementing an activity with the kids. Professor Hudson is so nice and very knowledgeable!

Hudson was a straight forward professor and made everything clear/to the point. Your grade depends on exams (1 dropped) and online homework that is easy and if you do extra assignments you'll get extra credit. Study your notes/her powerpoint for the exams and you will do fine!

Professor Hudson is fantastic, one of the best professors I have taken at RU! Three exams, two EC opportunities, and two virtual teen assignments. You do not need to buy the textbook. I just went to class & studied the ppts about two days before the exam & got over 100% in the class. If you are a good student, take this class!

Professor Hudson is a great professor. Her lectures are clear and straight forward. Although her exams are quite difficult, she gives other opportunities to help boost your grade. I would recommend taking this class.

She's very knowledgeable about what she's lecturing and is very straightforward. Very approachable - easily one of the nicest profs at Rutgers. If you show up to class and actually do the assignments, you'll be fine.

She clearly cares about the subject a lot and really knows what she's talking about! Also kind and supportive - if you ask for help, she'll understand. Very straightforward - if you show up for class and do her assignments, you'll pass.

Professor Hudson may be a little on the dry side when it comes to the lecture portion of Fieldwork, but overall she is a very nice woman. She responded to my emails within 48 hours. I guess if you are really interested in the subject then you will enjoy the class very much like I did.

I have never felt the need to rate a professor on this site, but she was the absolute worst teacher I had at Rutgers. Reading the book doesn't prepare you for exams and neither does doing the study guide. They're all unnecessarily tricky. I wasted hours studying and got my first D in a class in my life...I'm an AB student. Despised this class

Your grade is based on fieldwork hours, 2 assignments, a group presentation, and a handful of online quizzes. She is not the greatest professor, but she clearly cares about her topic. Go to every single class, do all of the VERY easy assignments and quizzes online, and go to your hours, and it is very hard to not get an A.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. It's tempting to take care of the kids, but you can get that opportunity if you take Infant and Child Dev Lab. This class was horrible. She grades completely arbitrarily, and she's extremely rude. AVOID THIS CLASS.

This class is easy, but the prof is extremely confusing. She doesn't explain things properly, so if you have any questions I suggest emailing her. Although sometimes even when you do, she still has no idea what you're talking about. (happened to me once).

This class is an easy A. just make sure you go to all your field work, take the EASY online quizzes on time and submit everything on time. She is highly disorganized on sakai though. Half the class was always confused about what was due when. other than that easy!

This professor was not bad. I got an A. Just go to class and read the textbook. Some material we learn is not in the book so you need class notes. Exams were a little tricky, but overall they were fair. Gives you extra credit opportunities and you have to raise a virtual child. She is really clear and repeats herself sometimes. She's good

I loved this class and enjoyed the material. I got an A and found it to be a relatively easy class. The test reflects all the material she goes over in class but questions can be confusing. But she scores fairly. The textbook is needed as questions on her study can come from there. Go to class, study her guides, and read the text.

as long as you go to class... you get an A. if you miss a few classes then you have to take the midterm and final. other than that you dont take any exams in the whole semester. you do group work every class which can get kind of annoying, but overall, that doesnt even become an issue

I loved this class. There are no exams unless you are failing and need to get your grades up. You have to to do the in-class clicker questions but most of it was common sense so it was easy. You also had to do group work everyday but honest you'd have to be really lazy and stupid not to get a good grade. She is not bad at all. highly recommended.

I was afraid to take this class because of all the negative comments on here but I ended up loving this class and I didn't have any problems with her! Yeah, class is mandatory and there's weekly online homework but it's all EASY! Honestly, you must be stupid or lazy to really dislike this class. The actual field work is really fun!
