One of the more straightforward professors I've had. Teaches you what you need to know really well, gives enough examples to really grasp the material (rare for physics profs), and the problem sets were actually kind of helpful, albeit long. Midterm was a breeze, final was not.

She trys hard to explain consepts, but often times it only confuses students more, and students who knew how to do problems now were very confused. She was often times hard to hear over the background noise in the lecture theater (a fan that constantly runs). The lab componet in this course was terrible, it must change.

It is a fact, worst professor ever. No one has a clue what she goes on about in class. Her examples dont help explain anything. She overcomplicates what is normally easier. Irwin causes too much confusion,thus lowering the intelligence of each and every student after1 of her lectures. laughs at herself and no1 answers any those imprudent questions

i'm failing physics. i never have any idea what she's going on about in class. i find her teaching style horrid, i've never had so much trouble understanding anything. her teaching lacks explanation, and it doesnt help that she speaks so quietly too. i'm sure she's brilliant, shes just not a brilliant prof.

She is very knowledgable and teaches her class at a fairly high level. If you can follow what she's doing, she's very good at it and points out a lot of the details that make difficult questions seem much easier.
