Definitely one of the best professors on campus. She keeps you interested in the topics throughout the entire class. Only one reading a week, a few papers, and two midterms and a final. I am in the class now so I don't know how I will end up doing but as far as I have heard, the class is an easy A.

Comment:

Sweetest lady ever, very interested in the subject. Made it very easy to understand the concepts which were very cool and applicable to everyday life! Beware: often calls on you during class if you're unprepared to respond (but she totally doesn't care when you don't know the answer). TA's are great and tests are very easy and straightforward.

I love her! I agree with the previous comment that it's run like a high school class but that makes it all the more comfortable an environment. Fascinating readings and an easy grader when it comes to tests. Overall, really interesting subject and she does a wonderful job in supplementing lectures with guest speakers. Very bright woman!

She's nice, but..she conducts the course like a high school class. She takes attendance, requires participation, and gives tests that require memorization of definitions. We had to do 6 hours of completely irrelevant fieldwork and write a 5-6 page paper about it. Her lectures are all over the place. Most of the grading is left up to the TA.

I dare you to find a nicer lady, or a professor more interested in her field. The class can be a tiny bit random at times, but only because she's laid-back and enthusiastic. Tests are fair and they aren't difficult...you just have to know what you've gone over in class. A must-take if you're interested in the subject.
