Comment:

Her classes cover so much and her tests are all accumulative. She will ask questions on her tests that aren't even in the lecture material. She probably could care less if everyone failed her class. The only reason this program is hard is because of her. She is so particular and goes too in depth on the things you will barely ever see in practise.

Was tough, don't underestimate the class! it starts off okay and goes down hill from there! Keep on top of your grades, study her lecture notes and also go to class on time and always. follow protocol to a T and discuss issues as they arise.

Difficult to understand what she wants from you, dont be afraid to fight for your grade and check your marks. Attend extra help if you can but she doesnt make it available to everyone (it conflicted with class time). You can be simultaneously be passing and failing the course.

Very vague on her grading, hard to understand if you are passing or not. She can be kinda nice sometimes when talking to her outside of class but seems fake. The class causes a lot of anxiety and tears if your not careful.

First of all this class is extremly hard. Anyone going in I suggest reviewing hematology beforehand. Dr. Baker is a kind lady but a very very hard marker. At first you will want to pull your hair out but if you work hard you will be amazed at how much you know. It is a trial by fire. She holds weekly tutoring sessions that are by sign up.

Be good, work hard, and have a sense of humour and you've got yourself a friendly teacher. Doesn't take kindly to slackers but will help anyone who is having trouble and in genuinely trying to improve.

Great Teacher, challenging but very knowledgeable and always willing to help students out with extra sessions and lab time. Exams are hard, but all the answers will be in the lecture material, always. Dr. Baker is really an incredible teacher.

I attended her class in 1992 - how is it she is still teaching? Was not one of her "favourites" initailly, but became one after a bit of sucking up (I had to...). Invited students to her home for a special study session - her favourites only, not the students who truly needed the extra help. Seems as though she hasn't changed. Sad.

She is great teacher and very organized - Be detail oriented!!! The practical portion is challenging but spend some extra time in the labs, book extra help with the techs and you will do fine :) Also read everything she assigns...online notes, power points and the text book.

I took this parasitology class with her a few years ago. She has very high standards for her students, but works really hard to provide them with the tools they need to meet those standards. She went to incredible lengths to prepare materials for her students to use. I failed her course, by the way. :)

If you're not one of her favourites right away, watch out. She's very fake, she pretends to care but she really doesn't. I'm not a fan of sucking up, but you have to in this class to get a decent mark.

It shouldn't be about favourites-but she chooses to make it this way. Interesting subject and a good teacher but the psychological warfare has to go. There are always those suck ups(you know who you are)that feed the fire. Those poor other teachers that have to deal with irate students because she screws with their self esteem. She needs to go!
