Best teacher I have had at PSU. Go to class and take notes and you should be able to get an A. Every class is lecture but she presents it like a story. No study guides but she emphasizes and spells all key topics. Take notes, go to class and learn a wealth of information.

She teaches way old school. You need to adjust to the way she teaches because no technology is used. She goes to the basic of what teaching is, and that is just simple story telling. I was always amazed at her ability to explain very detailed history straight from memory. Go into this class with and open mind, and you will learn a thing or two.

I think she really is a good teacher. The way she tells her lectures is practically story. Her tests are a little hard, and you really have to take notes in her class. She doesn't use power points, email, or Angel. So you have to catch her in her office or before and after class to ask questions. No textbooks are used in her classes.

She's such a sweet lady, and you really learn a lot in there if you pay attention. She doesn't use computers, powerpoint, Angel, or anything....She simply walks in and begins teaching and teaches until the last second of class. She really knows her stuff. Haven't used the book at all. Tests are tough unless you Really study.

Great teacher. Her class is entirely lecture. Sometimes you'll watch a movie. Once you take one of her tests and know how they work they're all the same set up, just different questions. I really think she knows everything about ancient history. You can not pass her class if you skip class!!! I wish I could take more of her classes.

Love this teacher. By far the best history prof. at Pitt. Teaches class like shes telling stories, which is the BEST way to learn history. Very interesting and nice lady. Highly reccomended

Hands down the best prof at PSU. It's been years since I took her classes, but I went to each class with eager anticipation. You just need to attend and take great notes. If you're not interested in the subject matter, you'll probably not fair well. What an awesome story teller. I miss her classes!!

she is completely unhelpful, she gives no notes which is not all bad, it pure lecture. she give no study guide for any of her tests and if they are not done in ink you automatically loose half credit on your test. and she fails to mention this little fact but maybe once.

Interesting teacher. Don't skip her class. Almost everything on the test she will talk about. If she spells out a word write it down. It will probably be on the test. This is a do it yourself class. She doesn't return phone calls or let you know what your grade is. She gives you tons of imformation, but that's it. I still liked her classes.

Excellent teacher, very interesting-- but her class is not for people looking to skate through without doing any work. You get out of it what you put into it, and if you're lazy or stupid you should find a remedial teacher because you will not pass.
