She's like the grandmother you never had. She can be pushy in her views but she's generally very nice. Skim the readings, pay attention in class and you'll do fine. She likes it when you participate and have an opinion, even if she doesn't agree with it. She's passionate and funny. The class is very easy going.

LOVE. THIS. LADY. She may be a bit scattered during her discussions, but it's worth it in the end. I have learned so much more than just what's in the assigned readings. She's hilarious in that she gets really angry about politics, and wants to argue with you. As long as you talk in her class, she'll like you. I am taking her again. end of story.

This professor is the most amazing woman. She cares about students and is the most helpful one in the whole sociology department. She can be brutally honest, but that's a good thing. She knows what she is talking about and that's what makes her so good at what she does. She cares about students, which makes her a gem. Love her!

PLEASE TAKE HER! She is a brilliant woman who, may at times go off on rants, knows what she is takling about subject matter wise. If you speak up in class she will love you. Participation is not mandatory, but recommended. Judith will teach you things that you never thought of before this class.

She is very unorganized and doesn't really know whats going on. You can tell she knows a lot, but she doesn't know how to get it across. Class is sooo easy though, but very, very boring.

Great professor! I love her! She is smart, kind, and expects a lot. She is outspoken about inequality and will fight for her students regardless of if it is what the rest of the crowd is doing. A born leader and the reason that I still have some passion left for sociology. Take her!

She by no means LIMITS ur thinking, she may have strong liberal ideas, but she applauds anyone who might disagree w/her, if u actually spoke up instead of sittin there starin blankly. If ur mind is open to changing ideas &discussion about social issues then u would enjoy. If ur like some &enjoy livin life indifferently/ignorantly then dont take it.

i can see how ppl would not like her, shes got very strong opinions, but if ur very liberal/for social justice and change ud probably love this class. It was really easy too. Shes not the most organized, but shes super sweet and open with her class about her life. Encourages class discussion & if u dont agree w/her she wants you to speak up!!

She limits your ideas by telling you what you should and should not do. (Basically her way or no way) When you speak she constantly cuts you off. She likes to choose people in the course to pick on and continues to throughout the semester. She apologizes for being harsh yets continues to be completely disrespectful.

Dr. Wittner is very easy to talk to, really knows her stuff, and has a wealth of experience to draw upon. She really wants you to do well, and you will have to work to do that. Not too easy, but not unfairly difficult either. Excellent professor and a valuable asset to Loyola. It'll be a sad day when she retires.

Perhaps one of the worst teachers at LU, the reason why there shouldn't be a tenure program. Ultra liberal, extremely anti-millitary, the negative Bush comments got old. Should be fired and teaching credentials revoked!

I know she can be a better teacher, maybe it was just the class. She knew her stuff, but that didn't mean she helped the student grasp the sociological concepts that went along with the conections she made.
