People respect Primavera and are well aware that she is a great professor, but she is such a tough grader that it ruins the class experience. The class included two 20-25 page papers, a few 10 page papers and multiple 6-8 page papers. The average grade on the first few assignments was a 65. But, she does care about her students.

She's brilliant! But she gives out a lot of work and is an extremely tough grader. That being said, her lectures are amazing and always has interesting stories to tell. I would take another one of her classes in a heartbeat.

Gives a ton of work and is a very, very tough grader. She is very willing to work with her students and she wants her students to do well. She's a great lady with great advice. No in class tests or quizzes, all online quizzes, but endless papers. Makes class really enjoyable and has great stories that relate to the topics making it easy to learn.

The time block sucks, but it is a mandatory class for psych majors. She is really nice and interesting, but the amount of work and papers, is A LOT. The end of the semester is very stressful, so attempt as much as you can to stay up on it. Great class but a lot of work.

Primavera was not what I expected her t be based on these ratings. She is the most disorganized professor I've come across in my educational career. Not only did she lose our essays, but claimed we never gave them to her. She assigned busy work and made the end of the semester a living hell. Take her if you want to never know what's going on.

By far one of the better teachers I have. Her experiences make it all the worthwhile though and her stories are interesting. but is a little vague in class then wants perfection in papers, her biggest thing is citations and statistics. Her quizzes are intense but listen and study, no in class exams just essays and If you do that you shall be fine.

The best part of this class was her experience as a clinical psychologist! Very relevant and interesting. The online quizzes are very hard, and she is specific when it comes to papers. Very possible to get a good grade.

This professor is by no means easy. Worst professor I have had at Fairfield. She has no reason to why she gives you the grade you get. I went to talk about one of my grades and she had no explanation. She gives way too much work. I definitely spent all my time working for this class. She picks favorites also.

I love her, she is so nice and very understanding, esp. with first year students. You have to be willing to do some work but it isn't tough. She gives opportunities to make work up if your missing something. She had kids who went through college, so she is realistic with what were going through. Shes very accommodating. Best teacher here. TAKE HER!

Prim is the best, loved her class. Took her online gen psych over the summer, too: the grade was split up into four parts, three of which I got an A- in and the fourth an A, yet still ended up with an A for the class...awesome. Developmental was fun with her little stories of her life in the 60s and then her children. Highly recommended.

dr primavera tells a lot of stories that are amusing, but the lectures are long and just go over exactly what is in the book. take notes on only the footnotes because that is what the tests are made of. they are online but really hard if you stick to the honesty contract and dont use notes. a lot of memorizing and tons of reading but she scales.

I took the Abnormal Child seminar with her senior year. It only met once a week, so it was pretty mandatory. Everyone presented on a different childhood disorder and we watched a lot of videos. She was understanding and helpful. She wrote me grad school recommendations and we still keep in touch.

Dr. Primavera is a great psychology teacher. I have her for developmental psych, and she is very straight forward with what information you need to know. She gives Online quizzes for each unit, which arent too bad, and there are response papers to various topics. All and all, her class is very interesting and her stories are fun to hear. Take her.

i had to take gen psych as a major, and she is definately one of the teachers to take the course with. she is a teacher that goes above and beyond the call of what she should be doing in the sense that she cares about how you are doing. she is one of the most apporachable and nicest teachers i have met.

Her tests are SO EASY! Just study the vocab and you'll be fine. Papers are tough, but if you e-mail her and ask her what you can do she's alright. Don't even bother taking notes or listening in the class, because it's all in the book. Overall, she's nice and pretty cool.
