Comment:

Judy is a nice person. She's pleasant and very engaging in conversation. It may not seem like it but she knows her stuff. The PROBLEM is she just doesn't know how to teach it well. Her question sheets/study guides make you copy the book verbatim, and stimulate no actual thinking. Take this course if you're good at working on your own. (Textbook)

Barely tried and got a B-. Only learned half the chapters; ended up not learning about BC!!! Took her three lectures-one per week-to finish 1st chapter. Had a bunch of questions on exam that she didn't teach us (HAVE TO READ TEXTBOOK!) EASY MARK! Learned more in detail of some chapters, but nothing for others. TAKE NOTES!

Terrible disorganized. We fell way behind. She spent 90% of the class looking for stuff, and trying to get the students who most vocally disliked her to like her. Get the textbook! You'll see it to pass the test. But honestly - aside from the labs (Nancy was fabulous!) - this class was garbage.

Highly ineffective teacher. She missed many many classes due to illness, but we never caught up in material covered. Every class she was highly unprepared, forgetting to bring materials etc, and sat down at the front desk. 90% of the class she just read out of the textbook.... a textbook she doesn't even find very good. AVOID-WITHDRAW-RUN AWAY

She likes to mention her hometown a lot. Which has nothing to do with the course other than a free mark on her map quiz. Who care where you come from. She mentions it every week. Perhaps she should focus more on the course outline that where she lives

Very nice, cute teacher. Can be a bit confusing as she jumps back and forth through work but she is thorough with her lectures. Just get the notes and answer her chapter questions and you should be fine. she's very fair and a nice person

she needs to learn that she is a geography teacher and not a history teaher. I don't care about the history of canada especially when I'm in a geography class. please stick to the topics and not go of track (like the FLQ crises, who gives a freaken hoot!) videos are not substitutes for lectures. if you enjoy cancelled classes take this course.

WERE DO I BEGIN!! She is usless, here midterms contain to much freakin info, here reasarch assignment is a joke, takes here days to go through material that should just take a few days (ie. heartland/hinterland) and were in final week of classes and still have to learn 4 more provinces. How did she get here MA. Nice teacher though.

Her notes are very unorganized and useless. If u are going to rely on her lecture notes for the midterm, good luck, because you'll going to have a heck of a time figuring out where to begin. She even gives us notes on the day b4 midterm, like stop already. Half of the semester is already gone and only 1/4 of the course material has been taught.

I think she is very unfair! You have to go to her study sessions to understand what is on her midterms. Some students may have work or more classes and can not attend. She continues teaching new material for the midterm which is one day away! Her notes are all over the place. She can never stay on topic which confuses me

She is so darn cute. She has really fantastic notes. She marks fairly and tell you exactly what to expect for exmas, and give you plenty of time to study. The more you get to know her, the more you like her
