Decent prof for Child Psychopathology. Didn't upload slideshows until the class bugged her about it, so she uploaded chapter outlines (which is better bc there's no need to purchase the textbook). She made the final cumulative 65% of the questions from midterm 1 and 2 which makes no sense. Why retest us on the 9 chapters we covered 1-3 months ago?

Relays personal experiences from her career in clinical child psychology, which is helpful for better understanding the material. Does not provide a specific grading rubric for essays or tips for midterm and exam review. Approachable and kind, not belittling or intimidating.

Prof. Hakim is such a wonderful person, she is caring and want you to succeed. She is passionate and knowledgable about her field and draws from personal experiences for explanations. Her lectures can be dry and her tests are out of few questions, but other than that she is such a kind lovely person!!

She seems like a very nice professor. She wants the students to be interested and she is kind. I found her lectures to be very boring, but I'd still highly recommend taking her class. She wants you to succeed and learn something from her class.

She is great professor. Her way of presenting the lecture is very interesting. She really cares about her students to do well in exams and her grading is very fair. She is the best psychology professor. I have have taken the child psychpathology class with her and I recommend it to everyone.

She looks like a genuine prof but she wants to use the newest textbook that costs about $270. She said she would not put the book on course reserve. CLEARLY. She is inconsiderate. The worst part is that this class is not even mandatory.

She's a nice person, great teacher, and she knows her stuff. Her american accent is hilarious, keeps me entertained through class haha. Essay questions on exam are stupid, but easy if you put time into them. I'd take another class with her. OH, (dont even need to read the text book..just do key terms)

The amount of reading for this class is insane. Sometimes we were covering 4 chapters a week. I gave up and stopped trying to read all of the chapters. The breakdown was: midterm (20%), paper (25%), presentation (10%), participation (5%) and a final (40%).

Late to class often, forgets what she's talking about sometimes, ignores hands that are raised for questions, confuses video footage. Her unorganization confuses the class and is very hard to keep up.

Soooo much to read, but don't read it all. Tests are mostly from lectures. She's a little high on herself but definitely very knowledgeable. She's very approachable and doesn't make you feel stupid when you ask a question.

Very knowledgeable professor, however, the exams are primarily name-memorizing ("who said what?") so you donĂ¢€™t really need to understand the material at all in order to get a good grade.

She knows a lot about a lot of topics. Very knowledgeable and likes class discussions. The class teaches the second half of the material. Midterm is hard. There is a LOT to read.

ALOT of reading which is not reflected in tests. Small marks gained through the year balance the class. Boring lectures and seems anal about the smallest things.
