Had him for APP, and it was pretty easy, never studied or anything and got a B, as long as you go to class you will be fine, bc a lot of whats on the test is what he says, and not in the book. He'll put of charts and maps on the board that arent in the book and ask you re draw them on the test, so make sure go to class, if you take, overall hes coo

Awesome professor! Class is pretty hard so don't take it unless you want to learn the stuff. He definitely knows what he's talking about and has been like everywhere. Very interesting to listen to. Reading the book really helps because sometimes his lectures aren't crystal clear. extra credit and movie reviews help grading. def recommend!

His accent can be hard to understand at times. Is extremely disorganized. Only has 2 exams, and doesn't give any other assignments. You must do well on the exams to do well in the class. Gives a ton of extra-credit opportunites.

I found this class to be very interesting and easy for me. I am interested in politics however, and a lot of people found this course difficult. He is very knowledgeable about politics. There is much more class participation than any other UPJ class I have attended. If you enjoy politics & want to learn more, take this class. If not, avoid it.

His lectures are some of the most disorganized I've ever been witness to. He comes off as arrogant, and I took very little away from his class. Yes, he knows a lot, but cannot relate it to the class. I will never take a class with Heinisch again. Take Wrabley or Alexander if you can.

this man has been all over the globe so he teaches from experience and seriously knows EVERYTHING there is to know about politics and the history of the WORLD! speaks a million languages and is just a genius. I studied abroad with him so my class setting was different but he was always very helpful and knowledgeable. :o)

VERY highly recommended. One of the best professors I have had, Is extremely helpful, and rewards interest and intellectualism. I am a Bio major, but find his lectures to be some of the most interesting. He uses personal experiences and photos to make you feel like you are wherever it is he is lecturing about. Exceptional caliber professor!

Dr. Heinisch is an extremely knowledgable professor and is very helpful. If you make a point to show an interest in the class and material, or at least show that you are attempting to do well, he is extremely willing to make sure that you do well in his class. Great to talk to outside of class about anything dealing with the social sciences.

He reminds me of a Bee Gee, but also James Bond. Imagine that. Our class got an email from him simply writing, "you are in." If that doesn't explain how cool he is then I don't know what does. I got a B in the class and it wasn't hard at all.
