took HIST 1510, 1520, 1530, 1540, 8507, & 8509 w/ this fantastic woman.Loved her class! Her passion for the subject & knowledge is obvious in her lectures & I ate it right up like a sponge.Didn't find her papers that challenging-students who show up,take notes, LISTEN, read the text, & write well will have no problem at all.Recommend her to anyone

Super nice. She knows what she is talking about, she will tell you her opinion but will not get mad if you have a different one. if you take good notes you do not need to read...at all

As a teacher, she was very good. She gave extremely long lectures. Me being the great student I am fell asleep several times. However she was willing to accept late work when there was a legit reason, was very nice. However, she extremely disliked how quiet my group was. I also disliked her dislike of technology and email.

Always willing to listen to opinions and have intellectual conversations about historical events. She is very knowledgeable in her subject, kind, and understanding. Expresses her opinion, but never pushes her opinion on others (as any good teacher should do). She explores every significant event in history, even down to the nitty gritty details.A+

She only gives take home essay tests and expects them to be thorough. This course is reading and writing intensive, but she gives such good notes in class that you could stop reading the book and still get a good grade. She also gives review sessions before each test is due and basically tells you what to put in your essays.

She is knowledgeable, friendly, and is very into her material. Onto the bad: she thinks all of the problems in the world are due to Americans, men, whites, Westerners, Christians, etc, etc. As someone else mentioned, the text (in both world history and US history) is extremely critical of the US, and in favor of all other cultures / religions.

She's pretty tough, but she's fair. She leaves room for extra credit, which helped me out a good deal. I took her course my first semeseter.. huge mistake, I thought. I still think it's a bit advanced and demanding for a freshman. Her lectures are interesting, long (be thankful of breaks) and she's always willing to help you after class and in her office.

Interesting to have a conversation with, but in class she seems to express a heavy political bias which tends to be counterproductive to learning at times.

Very nice person, but is definitely not a good political science instructor. The main text book was written by a guy making a case for America going socialist. Anyone who disagreed with her was treated rudely.

If you are not a tree hugging hippy she hates you. She is by far the worst teacher at college I've ever had. Only take her class if you want to be talked down to like you were a 5 year old.

Mad if you disagree with her, eventhough we learn about freedom of speech and expression. Pessimist, only looks at the problems of the country.
