Dr. O'Neil is an awesome professor. She knows what she's talking about and makes it easy to learn. For tests, study powerpoint, textbook summaries, and study guides. You can get a 100 if you know all that material. Just overall such a nice woman and genuinely cares about students well being. Definitely take O'Neil.

She makes an intro PR class way harder than it needs to be. Her grading isn't clear and when you go in to ask about it, she just says that isn't how she would have done it. Very subjective grader.

Really great and awesome professor. Her tests are straight from lecture and quizzes so take good notes. Getting a hard copy of the textbook as opposed to online is a lot better for taking quizzes. She usually pulls quiz questions from italiazed terms and lists.

I love Dr. O'Neil. She obviously knows what she is talking about and is clear about what she expects from the class. A great lady to learn from and has very straightforward teaching methods. Go to class, review lectures, read the book and you should be fine. I highly recommend her!

The class is very hard. O'neil is not a helpful teacher and does not give good instructions for tests or projects. Very much on your own and she is not easy. If another teacher is offered take them.

Dr. O'Neil is very straight forward about what she expects. It is important to read the book and make sure you know everything in the PowerPoints. Her tests aren't unreasonable unless you just don't study very much. Get to know her outside of class...she can be very helpful when you need assistance with assignments.

Dr. O'Neil is very straight forward about her expectations. If you memorize the powerpoints, read the book, review the chapter vocabulary, and take the chapter quizzes online, you should be able to get an A in her class. Talk to her outside of class so that she knows you better personally. Her advice about the PR field is great. LOVE HER!

She is a great teacher and its obvious that she is passionate about what she does! Very nice and willing to help if you need it. She doesnt take attendance but she will take a participation grade almost every day but it's really easy. She just wants you to show up so you can learn. I highly recommend her class

doesn't take attendance, but she does get you with participation grades. i actually went into class not really knowing what pr was but left knowing a lot. her tests are semi-easy and you're guaranteed at least a b if you don't study the book. some of her guest lecturers are pointless and boring but you have to take this class anyway so yeah.

AWESOME! So nice and genuinely excited to be in each class. Knows what she's talking about. I wanted to do Advertising but now I'm strongly considering PR after graduation. Very knowledgeable and wants her students to succeed in her class and in others. I hope to take her again.

This class made me completely drop advertising and switch to PR. She knows what she's talking about and teaches well. She has a lot of pointless guest speakers, but sometimes they're interesting. I would totally take her. She's really nice, although the tests are kind of hard because they are random multiple-choice questions.

A required class for AD/PR majors, she spits when she talks, she doesn't pronounce things properly and has eye-contact level that makes you powerless against her. Honestly, her class is boring, she is boring. Tries to bring "real world" experience but fails at getting you motivated. Lots of pointless outside assignments. Tests are confusing/detailed

Really nice woman--easy to talk to with problems in the class. Powerpoints are good and the information is all on the test. Do your homework (surveys, whatever). You will do some work, but it's not too tough just time consuming.

I've had her 4 times and made an A in every single class. Reminds me of high school--the notes and the book are the exact test. Study the night before tests and you'll be fine. Likes students who talk to her outside class.

Dr. O'Neil is one of the best in the department. She has recent real world experience, an incredible ability to relate to students, the industry. She brings clarity and fresh ideas to a dying PR dept. One typo doesn't = poor writer.

"Cheerful"?? I beg to differ. This woman is so disrespectful and inconsiderate, even to those who do everything she asks of them. She needs a reality check, big time.

She had no sympathy for her students who were forced to have an incompetent substitute when she had a baby. Not enough opportunities to earn a good grade.

She's a journalism prof. with poor grammar, bad sentence structure and lots of spelling mistakes on tests. Hmmmmm. But she's very willing to help students outside of class, and she's a cheerful lady.
