I really didn't like this class. I don't like the professor either. She's so uptight and monotone. She gives way to much work and to many papers. I dread going to this class. I'm not paying you to have me teach the class. You're being paid to teach me.

Fairly easy class to follow along but can get hard at times. Good amount of reading and the midterm was unreasonably hard. Makes up for it though by easy group projects and a final paper that is clearly outlined. Overall she is a very nice person with a lot of knowledge in sociology. Be ready to discuss. Some concepts are repetitive and overstated

Really easy A as long as you are active in discussion and write thoughtful essays that are reflective of the readings. First impressions matter so make sure to be active in discussion from the start. Pretty interesting class if the discussion is vibrant. She's really kind and understanding so don't be shy in discussion and ask questions!

She ran one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. I learned, but I really felt like I was taking 12 credit hours when I was actually taking 16 at the time.

The class was so disorganized I'm not sure what the point was. You must buy the $200 text that SHE wrote (more like compiled articles) but only use it a few times. Otherwise you read articles on the reserves, half of which are almost never there or broken and are extremely redundant. Only a few written quizzes. A 5-7 pg paper serves as the final.

I love professor Khalifeh. I took her SOC101 class and was very happy that she was teaching 381. She's very kind and genuinely wants to see her students succeed. She's not a heavy lecturer so you'll be doing a lot of independent reading and studying. But I only used it for her in-class study sheets and not much else. I recommend taking her!

I enjoyed every single class session. The professor doesn't just lecture for the whole hour and a half. She actually engages the students in her discussions. I learned a lot and really enjoyed this class. She does require you to read a lot. But later she discusses the material in class. I would recommend you take her class. You won't regret it!

This teacher focused on discussions and group discussions a lot, which was engaging to me. You may want to bring a laptop, but it's not totally necessary, however a lot of info is online so I find it helps with note taking. The tests are awesome because she lets you know exactly what to study. If you study, you'll do well.

Very nice Professor. She can be unorganized and moves fast with lectures. Overall, she is a good and easy professor. If you are an obnoxious student you are not welcome in her class. Oh, if you do not show up to class, that is a hit on your grade. There is only one test (midterm) a group project and a final paper of 8 pages.

Overall she's an average professor. Only one test through out the quarter. Really unorganized and sometimes contradicting.

This was my first class at DePaul and it was pointless. I have no idea what I learned. She moved really fast through the power points, rarely discussed the readings, and didn't explain the final paper or the group project. The class was a joke.

I can confirm what the previous student posted. She tells you to go to the reading reserve to find the reading but half the time it isn't even there, so she just tells you to catch up, which can be very cumbersome. Do yourself a favor and take someone more organized.

This class is very easy and frustrating at the same time. Let me explain why. First of all, she gives you too much busywork. The readings are easy but there are just too many of them. Second of all, many of the readings are in the E-reserve but most of the time the readings are nowhere to be found or the E-reserve site is down.

Acts as though her class is the most important one we are taking even though it is a sophomore seminar, does not provide adequate explanation for longer assignments on the syllabus or on D2L, easy grader but the class is a nuisance and material is extremely repetitive. Given the choice, I would not take Prof. Khalifeh again.

Lots of busy work. Never explains anything well. Only good thing is there is no final. Group project is not well explained at all and most of the class is just working on it.

She is an okay teacher. She cancels ALOT of classes for you to meet in your groups. She has other students teaching other students within the groups. She seems to be an easy grader but dont take it for granted.

Took her for Sophomore Seminar class. Very interesting topics and discussion. Assignments include reading articles & answering a few easy questions, book report &final presentation, and a final paper which is more of a reflection paper.Nice lady, tries to make you THINK about real world issues, which is refreshing from other "memorize facts" classes
