Lecture are incredibly boring. No one attends except for quizzes. Quizzes are not hard but graded unfairly. No way to repeal grades for they will find ways to drop grade further. Absurd TA's.

Nice guys, but lectures are exceedingly boring. Easy class. No homework, no textbook, weekly quizzes, 7 easy projects and labs that are even easier (i.e. output a table in PHP). Some course material is dated (cgi, java servlets, CORBA), but other stuff is good (sockets, security, crypto, web services)

Ingalls' lectures are dry, but his online note pages are excellent and you learn a lot from the course. The notes are extremely readable and really do help - they condense 50 book pages into 3 or 4 actual pages. Tests are curved. He's the best CS prof.
