Comment:

Dr. Yi's most prominent trait is how much he cares about his students. He makes his class easy to pass with an A, yet keeps students engaged and makes it easy to learn. I highly recommend taking a class with Dr. Yi!

I thought this would be an easy class. WRONG! His tests were extremely difficult, and sometimes I felt that he was rushing us on test day so he could leave early. HOWEVER...... he always said "Everyone will pass my class, don't worry." And he stuck to it. I respect him for this. And oddly enough, would take his class again!

This professor is the epitome of what's wrong with the american education system. He stereotypes and perpetuates ignorance, caring more about "interesting"(stories of himself and his achievements) than "informational". Easiest class in the world, gives out points wildly-nilly, and gives the test answers before the test. Waste of my time.

You have to give 3-4 speeches but he is clear on what he wants. If you follow directions you will get an A. He criticizes people in front of the class though which is awkward. Takes points if you skip. Says you don't need the book but online tests are straight from the book. He takes forever to email back or doesn't at all, hard to contact.

He loves what he does and is really looking out for his students. Very funny. Attendance isn't taken UNLESS there's a significant number of people absent. In that case he gives out extra credit. He'll help you out, but it's very important to follow directions precisely, so go to class. He also loves PSEO students

Never in my life have I met a professor who is so understanding. He truly cares about students and does everything he can to make sure EVERYONE gets a good grade. He cracks funny jokes and his tests are straight from lecture. Doesnt want you waste money so he doesnt use the book. Loved Dr. Yi. Wish more professors were like him.

Dr. Yi is awesome. If you just show up and do the speeches and online quizzes, you will get an A. He made public speaking a lot less frightening. I took him in the summer, so we didn't even use the book, but you do during the regular year.

I was terrified of public speaking before this class, but I wanted to face my fears. I soon came to find that all I had to do was follow instructions and put forth my best effort. Of course I got really nervous, but I ended up with an A. Dr. Yi is more than fair and is willing to work with you.

I really enjoyed Dr. Yi's class even though I only got a B. He is an awesome guy and he really loves what he does. It comes though in his lectutes and interactions with students. Anyone who gives him a negative review didn't even try in his class! Taking him this quarter for COM 457, really looking forward to it!

I don't know what the great ratings are about because this guy was frustrating. He will make up things you do wrong and take off points. He also wont record your speeches so you can't prove him wrong. Then some students will give terrible speeches with false information and get A's.

Seems to really enjoy his job and his students; although, I have not been impressed with his stereotyping of his students. He thinks everyone that eneter his 101 has no skills AT ALL in speaking and it can become frustrating. But worth while just to get an easy A.
