Professor D'Arms is a great lecturer. His class wasn't easy, but he explains the material well and is helpful during office hours. If you want a challenge, he really makes you think and work hard. Overall, he is an intelligent professor and I recommend taking his courses.

Professor DArms was extremely dull in class. He handled touchy questions well. When it comes down to it though he is uninterested in teaching. I visited his office hours frequently and he couldn't remember who I was when I emailed him. The syllabus was short and vague and left much up to question. Avoid this professor if you can.

This was my favorite class that I've taken at OSU and I'm a third year physics major. Discussions were thorough and thoughtful and changed the way I look at things. Not an easy class, though.

D'Arms was just a plain good teacher. We dealt with really sensitive stuff but he tried to stay away from his own opinions. He'll steer you toward life-changing ideas and it's worth the brain-bending.

Very good at clarifying texts which sometimes seem incomprehensible. I found it best to read the text after he already explained it, that way you won't be frustrated for hours on end.

after surviving 130, I must say that Dr. D'arms is still a relatively nice teacher. The class got amazingly boring however over halfway through the class; though assignments were easy, I think reading level and lack of a syllabus were a bit much

Knows the subject well; teaches with clarity. Most importantly, he is humble and down-to-earth, unlike other professors who are more arrogant. When he does not have answers, he will admit so and will work out the problem with you. This is very rare! He's
