Comment:
His powerpoints are pictures copied from the textbook with no explanation which he explains so quickly in class that there's no time to take notes. This leaves no other option for studying for the midterms than reading through the textbook. In order to pass the tests you have to memorize every word from the textbook and no part marks are given

Had him for Biochem 1 and I found the class to be very long and very boring (it didnt help that it was at night for 2+ hours). The textbook did not help at all. If you are taking this class with Justin, I would suggest watching videos online to learn the material. Going to class is not always mandatory if you can catch up at home.

great prof! he gives you everything you need to get an A ! if you take detailed notes in his classes on the slides he posts beforehand you won' t even need the book that much. also, he gives sapling quizes that help you fully understand the material . he has office hours after every test (even the final!) to see the papers

Best biochem teatcher ever ! He tells you what's gonna be in the midterms and he even send you notes about the past lecture that basically explain everything if you know by heart his notes... you're gonna do well.

Overall good teacher. Attendance is required as he fills in the blanks in his notes. His exams are fair and are not very dificult as he tells you what he expects you to know. Yes theres alot of material mostly mechanisms, etc. but thats biochemistry... ALSO his exams are not cummulative :)!!!

First of all, biochemistry 2 is the has a ridiculous amount of content that needs to be covered . It's impossible to study a week before the test and pull off a decent grade. It is highly recommended you read the text book with his notes using his notes as emphasis! That book is like the bible! Use it wisely!

teaches clear but there is just too much material to learn so you cannot miss a class otherwise you will be lost. He expects more than what he asks for his written questions on his exams. You have to know mechanism, so this class is like a combnation of orgchem II and Biochemistry. Basically it's bloody murder lol. Just dont get urself left behind.

Class attendance isn't really required for a good grade. I rarely went and did rather well. His final was absolutely brutal given the incredibly large amount of material that he expected us to know for it. Know the mechanisms well.

He knows his stuff inside out! There is a lot of material in Biochem II, but the key to doing well is to memorize your reaction mechanisms. If you do, you'll do very well on his exams.
