Comment:
Dr. Min is one of the best professors I've ever had. He cares about whether or not students learn the content and presents it in ways that are easy to understand. He is funny, personal & accessible. His test was hard, but most people did well. He gives many chances to turn in papers before the due date, providing feedback each time it's turned in.

Dr. Min is extremely helpful with his students, and always makes time to help with concerns and questions. Use his office hours if you are confused! Class can get difficult but it is a progression, so keep up with reading and attend class to work on your SPSS data analysis for the final paper. If you get his humor, he's hilarious.

Dr. Min will show you how to function around SPSS so when an educator asks you a complicated question, just tell him or her "Well, that would be an ANOVA!" What does a My - (spssx) Mx mean? You reply, "Well, that would be an ANOVA!" Instant credibility, yo! You are required to think in this class but don't stress new things, embrace 'em.

If you can take Min. He is the best professor I have had so far. Everything I had trouble learning in 690 I was able to learn in one lecture thanks to Min. He makes the material so easy and he also will call on people in class but it helps to learn the material. Min is the best

Comment:
Dr Min's lectures are hard to follow therefore making it difficult to understand assignments. He is very slow to turn back scores and papers so if you are the type that need to know your grade right away he is not the professor for you. A lot of reading and his tests follow material in book more then lectures.

Min is super nice and always makes himself available to his students. I took this after research methods (690) and he was very patient in reteaching us all the basics of research stats and making more sense if it than our RM prof ever did. If you keep on top of the work the class is pretty easy.

Very nice professor. Relatively easy grader. Must show up, do most of the readings, look at powerpoints. Gives some very cool assignments (photovoice) but puts off assigning the final paper/project until way too late in the class. Not very clear on what he wants sometimes. However, he is very knowledgeable about subject & has good guest speakers.

Most comments agreed with here. Definitely know your SW 691 stuff and review it. Keep Babbie book on hand. Get help with the SPSS program ASAP if you start to have trouble so that you can stay with the lectures. Lectures difficult to follow at times due to his accent, but great professor who is down to earth.

He is a wonderful professor. His test was a little tricky, but he gives you a chance to correct it and he will give you back half of the points. Not many professors in the dept are as generous as Min. His assignments are not hard and he even gives you a chance to work on it in class. I highly recommend him.

Min is o.k. He's difficult to understand and expectations are unclear. Take good notes b/c you'll forget what we did in class when u do assignments. Some assignments are practical. He's supportive. I'd recommend another professor, but b on your toes if u take him and challenge him on grades b/c he's wishy washy.

Class starts easy but you can get lost if you don't have a good foundation in stats/ research-- if you took a certain prof for 690, for instance. Required class, but he's better than the others who teach it, I understand. I made an A, but I had to (re)learn research stats. Not too much work AT ALL.

The course starts out easy, HOWEVER, his tests I found were extremely hard. One other thing that bothered me about him is that the last assignment which is a pamphlet presentation, he grades exteremly harshly which causes your overall grade to decrease.
