Easy teacher easy class. Do the small hw assignment readings on time, easy extra credit hw, and ask her questions if you have one. There is midterm and final and both are easy by going through note packet and writing down EVERYTHING on study guide (definitions of vocab, info in () about each image, always write definition V.E. of Art & P. of Design

Comment:

Professor Hemzik is a very nice professor, but she can be very boring at times. Her classes consist of powerpoint presentations and few hands on activities. She is very scatter brained and keeps track of grades on paper so you have to ask her to see your grade in person. Grading system is odd so you basically won't know what you get until the end.

Dr. Hemzik is a good professor, and the class itself is fun when you work on projects in class. Just be aware of the exams, as they are pretty difficult and include precise information. Be sure to study, because if you dont, or you skip class, your grade is going to suffer. Other than that, I do recommend Dr. Hemzik for ART101.

Pam is the sweetest professor and loves the topics she teaches. Show up to class and you'll get an A. Tests are very easy; you don't have to take notes in class because she give you printed copies of all of her lecture powerpoints. Outside projects are required but easy and can be enjoyable.

She's a little odd, one project we did she was very frantic and will take stuff out of your hands to show you how to do what you're already doing. Tests are multifaceted, with many essays. But gives study guides and one essay is take home. There are better and worse teachers. Used the book for 1st hw, projects are fun! Lets you go to any section

She's very full of energy and passionate about art. She is a good teacher. Exams can be sort of tricky so pay attention and study! there are projects throughout the course, but they're easy and fun for the most part. there is a paper you must write too but its not hard. dont skip!

She's a great teacher and a really nice person. The class is pretty laid-back and easy as long as you put some effort in. There are a few projects that are all pretty fun, and the tests aren't hard if you just study! It's a very nice introduction to art and art appreciation.

Attendance is basically mandatory but she lets you go to which ever section you want as long as you sign in. She is very egotistical and thinks she knows everything. She accused 3 people of cheating because they sat with their hands in their laps (there was no evidence of cheating whatsoever). The workload is RIDICULOUS for an intro course.

This class was a killer. More work in here than any other I had this semester. She can be ignorant, and thinks she knows everything about art. Her tests were ridiculous as well. Seriously do not take this class.

This was honestly a terrible class. Very dry and boring lectures, with a lot of homework throughout the semester. The tests had a TON of information on the study guides where most of it needed to be found on your own. Even though I will recieve a decent grade in the class... AVOID. It is not worth it, I promise you.

Dr. Hemzik is flat out awesome. Shes really helpful, all the projects are graded on completion, and as long as there is pencil marks on paper, shell say its complete. she basically tells you everything on the tests before you take it. if this class is required for you, dr. hemzik is the way to go.

Intro to Art Appreciation. Highly recommend Doctor Pam. She is such a sweetheart and wants to see all her students succeed (even though she knows you may not be artistic or even interested). Easy A if you do all the projects which are graded off completion. After taking this class I actually did develop some kind of appreciation for art...

She is a great teacher. The class is really easy. She is really into what she teaches, and class can be boring sometimes but what are ya gonna do. You have art projects (do them). She gives bonus points. She gives you a study guide with everything you need to know on tests. Not bad at all. I would def. reccomend taking her for art apprec.
