Comment:

Took this for my Honors class so it was a bit difficult. Kept bombing the quizzes but still received an A. Make sure you understand the material before the quizzes, they are also timed. Papers are super easy to write, she keeps class interesting.

The tests were hard and very difficult to study for. She doesn't provide any homework assignments to balance out points and no points are given for notes,but are taken away if not completed. Must complete 6 papers throughout the course of the semester.

Comment:

Most difficult and frustrating class I have ever taken. Tests were extremely hard, no homework given in between tests so it was really hard to know if you were understanding the material properly until the test in which case it is too late to know that you missed the mark. I would recommend taking this class in person and NOT over the summer.

Do no take this class online with this instructor, unless you are ready to fail. Tests were very hard and the material she had you study was not on the tests. She did not give any in-class work for the first 5 weeks, so you had to constantly guess if you were getting the material correct. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this class online

Dr. Kam is a great professor! She is extremely helpful and straightforward. You can tell she is very passionate about psychology and makes it interesting even for an online class. Assignments are minimal for online, but you do have to read the book and take notes to do well on the tests. If you follow the study guides and read you will do well.

Took honors class with Dr. Kam. Not a typical lecture class, did mostly group learning, which made it difficult to fully understand the concepts. Very knowledgeable teacher, but had a very hard time with her teaching style since she doesn't go by the book. Notes are required before learning sections and 6 papers are required as well.

Not my fave teacher. Gives next to no extra credit assignments and the tests are extremely hard. Much of the info for tests is scattered throughout the book and her definitions for terms differs from book's definitions. Moves too fast.

I Dr. Kam for two classes, Psy 101 and 277. Spectacular teacher. Very clear, very concise, she makes the classes fun. Her method usually involves reading the text independently then reviewing in groups, it works well. You have to do your work, but keep up and you'll get a good grade. If you need help she's easy to get an appointment with.

I took Dr. Kam for PSY 101, and am now taking her for another class. She is a very dedicated teacher, and impacted my life probably more than any other teacher ever has. I recommend her 100%, and will take as many classes from her as I can. Her teaching style is great and extremely creative, I enjoy each class with her and time seems to fly.

She is the smartest teacher, it is seriously like she knows EVERYTHING which makes it really helpful while shes teaching and if you have questions. Shes really nice and easy to listen to she makes class interesting. Her classes arent super easy but if you put in the effort you will get a good grade. Ive taken 2 of her classes & i would take more!

I had this teacher for social psychology. We had to write a paper every other week, on my first paper (spent hours on) I got a ZERO, not ONE point!! I ignored it because the first one didn't count. Second paper same thing happened. Apparently I missed something in the syllabus that she never told us about! I had to drop the class

She is a really awesome teacher and fun to be in her class. She jokes and is very chill. The only thing that I had trouble in was the way the test questions were worded. However, there were always two extra credit points added to every test which was very helpful.
