I don't feel like I learned much at all. Every lecture he just goes over problems and thats about it. Some of the things he explains are very confusing and I think are completely opposite than what I've learned in the past. The homework is all online and the exams have only been 5 or 6 questions worth a total 100 points which is ridiculous.

He is always open to help students, and will help you as long as he can. His tests aren't hard, and are just like the homework. His instructions are very clean. Probably my favorite professor ever!

Had to take this class twice and so glad I chose Schilling. He went over the material and loved when you asked questions. Sometimes teachers are pressed for time and don't stop to see if you have questions. Labs with a group of classmates also helped! Great instructor

Awesome professor! Dr. Schilling is a very nice, quirky guy, who is very passionate about math! He actually makes calculus fun! We had a day every week where we worked in groups on assignments which I found very beneficial. He also loved to see students interested in the topics & loves when you come to his office hours.

Comment:

Schilling is a great teacher. You should go to class every time you meet but it is not necessary as long as you get the quiz questions from a friend and come on the days of lab you will do fine. I got a B+ in Pre-Calc and an A in Schillings class, just goes to show what a great teacher he is! Ask him for help whenever possible! He enjoys helping!

His explanation of the material is phenomenal. He takes concepts that are otherwise really hard to grasp and breaks them down so that the students not only know how to do the problems but know what they're doing and why. It's no surprise that I felt Calculus with Schilling was easier than Pre-Calculus with another teacher. He's the man.

There are very clear requirements for students at the beginning of the semester and professor Schilling does a great job of relating math to students at all levels. He does his best to make sure all students understand the subject. I would highly recommend taking him for any math courses you can.

He's VERY excited and passionate about math, which makes lecture more enjoyable. He's also very willing to help students understand the material. Lots of opportunities for points with homework, quizzes, exams, and labs. Nice guy!

not the best prof. taught the material but then when the exam came the exam was exteremly difficult. The problems he gives in class are not as in depth as the exams. Cheet sheets hardly helped.

He is obviously passionate about math, but he would get frustrated when students would ask questions and once made fun of a student who left class early. One day when I had a question and there was a test the next day, he simply said that he told me he didn't have time and that he was sick.

This was a really easy class becuase he explained everything so well. He expects you to do the work and pay attention in class, he will help if you go to him. He is very passionate about the subject and a nice guy, although he can be a little scary at times. I'd take anything with him. A very good teacher.

Dr. Schilling is one of the best. He is very helpful to ALL students regardless of race or gender. I was really intimidated by Calc 1 & Calc 2. Dr. Schilling helped me to overcome my fear of Calculus! What a great professor. I gained a lot of confidence in his class. He is very good and enthusiastic about Probability. Work hard in his class.
