Oy vey !!!!! Karen is all over the place and frustrating to have as a teacher. She is very stuck in her own taste and aesthetic so it is tough to please her. BUT she is a really cool lady for sure.

Friendly, but not the best. Didn't know how to use programs well, didn't actually teach anything about using software, just gave an assignment and waited until critique day. Should have taught more like tricks on the programs, techniques, life as a graphic designer, etc. Was very stubborn, if she had a suggestion, do it or your grade will suffer.

She is extremely helpful if you show her that you are willing to work hard, and is a tough grader which makes you work harder and learn more-what a good professor should do.

Wow, no wonder the Monmouth University Graphic design department is so pathetic, with her attitude it's no wonder the school doesn't help the art dept. She is one of the rudest professors I've ever had, incredibly unfocused, will tell you she likes something then won't remember it and tell you to change it, doesn't seem to care, inconsiderate.

altho i got an A i was pretty sure I wasn't going to do well..criticized me for "never" being in class but there was a misunderstanding...didn't budge when she knew she was wrong. felt like she didnt know what she was talking about, took her 20 minutes to figure out how to do something she should already know how to do. didn't like her at all.

Unfortunately there is no avoiding her. She is verbally abusive and disrespectful a lot of the time. She can def bring you down and make you feel worthless, whether you're good or no

A lot of people don't like her, I happen to like her. She's not nearly as bad as everyone has made her out to be. She knows what she is talking about, she's a wiz on the comp, and has more respect for you if you stick to your own ideas. She's really nice and the classes are laid back. I don't have any complaints about her.

Karen can be very, even too critical. When someone thinks they did a good job on a piece, she rips it apart. She says things like "that piece is nasty" and she really brings you down. Very hard grader-never got those grades in graphic design in my life. Other professors are much more understanding and helpful than she is.
