She teaches all variations of the problem, extremely willing to help. challenging. if you want to learn math (doesnt matter how good you are at it) she will teach you. put in the effort. if you need to KNOW the mtl and not just pass with whatever grade, take her and only her. goodluck..remember put in as much effort as possible.

she's a very nice teacher and will help students. just ask for help if your struggling with the materials. I end up taking her twice for trig but that was because the first time around i didn't ask for help or spent time studying. So my advice is attend class, take notes, ask for help, and spend a good amount of time studying the course materials

Mrs. Emerson is a great teacher if you are good at math. I took her for Trig and got an A. You have to come to class, do the homework and memorize a lot but she is very willing to help you. She also gives some extra credit. I learned a lot in her class and would take her again.

I took the trig class and had to drop. I thought I knew the material but still did bad on the test. Would take full credit off for making a simple mistake on ques. Can't blame her for everything but did go every fast on material. Retaking Trig with Chang over the summer in clearwater. I heard he is the best at explaining the material.

Decent teacher, I hear Smalling is easier but doesn't pound all the formulas at you. I should've done more homework, got a C, almost a B. HIGHLY recommend doing your homework. She is very helpful though.

Ms Emerson is probably the best math teacher I have ever had. I took her for Trig last semester and she does a great job at explaining the material for those who are mathematically impaired. She is also very willing to help you outside of class. She does not grade on a curve or give extra credit, so you must be diligent to receive a high grade.

She is a very good teacher. The class is very accelerated, but if you do your homework and listen in class... it truely is a breeze. The main thing is she is very helpful. You can go to her office and she will help you until you learn the material. If you are going into higher math... definately take her. It will pay off and you WILL learn.

Very good teacher. Very thorough. She gives great examples, and gives a great review sheet which is very helpful when studying for tests. As long as you listen in class and do homework, this class isn't bad at all. She is also understanding and lets you take tests beforehand if necessary. She is really nice as well.

Mrs. Emerson is available to 'catch you up' in her office & you should ALWAYS do this if you get confused in class. She does go very fast. BUT she was incredibly kind in pushing me thru the last of my homework even though I was doing it a "wrong" way - she helped me do it my way. The tests are fair - do all your homework & you can get an "A".

Taking College Algebra... very good teacher if you know nothing. If your taking the class, and know the material just need credits.. have fun. does a lot of foundation and gets kind of boring, but good for review. Explains why, instead of just telling... Overall good teacher.
