She was one of the worst professors I ever had. I got a B on a paper and she put it in as a C- and refused to change it when I emailed her. She starts everyone off with a nice crisp grade of a C. Don't take this class.

Gets a bad rep, but she just wants you to learn. Readings are mostly from Latin-American feminists, which shouldn't deter you from the class, but the essay topics go deeper than that. Take notes on her perspectives and use those to write the essays. She gives feedback and you will improve grade-wise if you do what she says. Participate in class!!

She is very disorganized, unhelpful and sometimes doesn't even really seem that motivated to be teaching what she is. She has a bad habit of talking to the class instead of to the class making her lectures feel incredibly long and drawn out. She gives little to no feedback on any of the papers.

Has the illusion of kindness and support for the students' grades. Until she hands back your first paper with a class average of "C". I would not take her again. Get on her good side for a hope of making it through the class. She grades harder than ever and never gives a solid prompt for you to follow for your papers. Work extra hard and push past

Honestly the worst professor I have ever had, took film studies because I figured it would be semi-easy of a class and all she did was make our lives way too difficult, is not clear on what she expects from students, tests are way too difficult and she does an awful job of preparing you for exams/essays. Absolutely stay away from this women.

I honestly can't believe she is still allowed to teach at the university level. I have never had a worse professor in my life. The grades she gives are completely random, no matter how good or bad your paper is. Avoid at all costs!

I did not enjoy this teacher. She was very rude to me. I got a D on my first paper and I am a decent writer. She is a very hard grader. After I worked very hard to bring up my grades, she accused me of cheating... Would never take her again. Avoid at all costs.

Professor De Lourenco is very strict on cell phone use. Don't use a cell phone in this class! She grades hard, and hardly has a good reason for the grade she gave!

Want a good grade? Read, ask questions, and take notes. Her tests midterm and final ARE NOT HARD. You just need to understand all the concepts from her perspective. She likes students who participate, so just ask questions!!! Research Paper 25%, Midterm 20%, Final 20%, Group Presentation 15% and ParticipationAttendance 20%. Don't use your phone!

Cileine is one of the few teachers in Bryant that provoke critical thinking in her students. Good in her field he does give the internation perspective that Bryant claims to spread. She will teach you to think, to be smart and to create your own opinion. An architect for what a human being must be. Not for lazy narrow-minded folks though. Rad prof

Participating in class is easy. Her definition of key terms are definitely her own 'understanding' of the word. She is unclear with assignments. If you want anything higher than a b- on a paper you need to meet with her several times to make sure its "what she wants". Very liberal. swears in class. very stubborn.

If you want to take an english class where all you do is read Latino books that take a feminist point of view, this class is for you. Professor is a liberal, which makes the class worse. Extremely hard grader. You watch a few films, all in Spanish. I got A's on my papers in high school but my first 2 papers here were a B- and C. Don't take.

She isn't very clear ahead of time about what you should be working towards when it comes to your papers, and she's definitely a difficult grader. But, she really cares about her students and if you take the time to talk to her, she'll take the time to help you out. I would definitely take her again keeping in mind that it's not an easy A.

Great teacher. Get on her good side. Tough essay grader, slightly influenced by class participation. Do well on the essays, on the roundtable, participate in class and you'll do fine.

One of the worst professors I have ever had. DO NOT TAKE. She gives mostly C's and D's on papers, and a few A's. I don't think she read the papers. She picks a few students who she likes and the rest get C's or D's. She would tell me in person the grade I got, then post on blackboard a lower grade saying that was my real grade. Very disorganized.

Three "short papers" (3pg), one "round-table discussion" (easy!), and a big research paper at the end of the term. If you have questions with a paper, she is willing to help so definitely go to her office hours. The woman is amusing and has some good stories. Participate and put effort into the papers and you'll be fine.

She is very funny. She says some hilarious things while in class and swears often. However, as a teacher she is not the best. She struggles with the English language, yet she is an english teacher. There are alot of essays, about 4 and also a lengthy research paper. She grades hard. Everyone gets B's or less except for those kids that go all out

Terrible terrible terrible, she does not read your entire papers and cannot even spell/speak correctly. She claims she loves everyone in her class but in the end it is impossible to get an A and it takes forever for her to hand anything back, DO NOT TAKE
