Comment:

Show up to class and Karen will teach you all that you need to get an A and know circuits. Don't show up to class and you will fail. Daily homeworks that take less than half an hour, quiz every friday, tests closely resemble homework, quizzes, and in class examples. Get a good calculator b/c she doesn't require that you show work. Ti89 or higher.

Karen Frenzel is my favorite professor at UI. She is so helpful and clear, and is always willing to help her students. She really cares about her students learning and will help you with anything! I wish I could have her for 212, I will miss being in her class. I'd recommend her to everyone but all ECE students have to take her class anyways

Karen is probably one of the best teachers I have had. She is always very helpful and accommodating if a student is having trouble. Her lectures might seem a little repetitive if you grasp the material quickly, but that repetition is more than welcome when it comes to the more difficult material.

Welcome back to kindergarten. Really easy classes, so it's an easy pass if that's what you want. But.. warning: you will pass her****, but just wait until you get into classes that use circuits, which she taught. There'll be tons of blanks for you to fill in, whereas other students might already know the stuff because they took circuits from someone like Dr. Law. Not such a bad prof though, she'll help you out if you have questions. Insomnia won't be a problem in her lectures..

When the non-repetitive and non-boring-algebra stuff starts in circuits, she gets a lot better at teaching it and even gains a bit of a sense of humor. It's just really annoying that homework is graded so difficultly and is a large component of the grade.

Only teaches what is necessary for the class and not a sentence more. It's just an introductory circuits analysis clas. Don't expect anything more out of it or Karen, and you'll be fine. The class is literally nothing more than doing a whole bunch of circuits questions over and over and over again.
