I took Carilli's Econ 101 class as a freshman, and I have to say it was one of the best I've taken. He is an excellent professor who explains concepts clearly and very adamantly encourages class participation. He isn't for everybody as his manner will likely rankle some, but for me he clicked. Do your homework and pay attention and you'll be okay.

Carilli is a great professor, especially for his intro course. I had him for multiple courses, and he was always willing to help if we didn't understand something, but more than that, he cares about his students. You definitely will be challenged by his courses, but I've learned more with him than any of my other professors.

****, knows it, doesn't care. Great teacher, taught me something I use on a daily basis although it was the only class of the sort I took. Attendance is very mandatory, and he will drop you regardless of whether your absences are excused or you have a very high grade.

Carilli is a jackass, and he knows it. You'll have a quiz every day (3 questions). If you want to do well in the class, you have to read from the book every single night. He's a great teacher, but he makes the tests a bit too tricky/difficult. Join the class if you're prepared to work outside the clasroom and have fun inside the classroom.
